'14 GC Overland, Need Roof Rails and Cargo Box ?

Been doing a lot of searching and it seems there are various options for Roof Rails for Cargo Box stuff...

I only have need carry stuff a couple times a year and only then a cargo box to haul some extra light stuff (bedding, clothing, etc) since my family are not light packers for anything!

First for the Rails, From the reviews, these appear to be very similar to the OEM Mopar Roof Rails at a lower cost;

Any experience or comments on those rails ?

Second, I have an older Yakima Spacbooster Box that I'd like to reuse if I can (normally use on our '03 Tahoe). The Dimensions on that box is 89 inches x 22 inches x 14 inches. I was wondering if anyone had used one of the "longer" cargo boxes on a newer WK2 and had any issues with either the Antenna or interference with the lift-gate.

We used it once on out 98 ZJ 5.9L and I think it worked, but might have been a bit long.

Thanks,
SW2

I've got the OEM crossbars, and man are they flimsy. Lots of flexing and bending with my kayaks loaded up on top of them. My old BMW crossbars were rock solid.

I run the factory cross bares on my Laredo E. And I use the Thule Atlantis 1600 box. 3' wide, almost 6 ft long, 15" high. Someone has a thread about the exact same setup on these boards. No issues, not much noise, it did reduce satelite reception slightly, but only when facing directly south.

The only issue i had was loading and unloading, it is pretty high and i needed to stand on the sils to get things organized in there. If you are traveling with another taller person, you can actually load it on the ground the then lift it into place with a person on each side of the truck. What ever box you use, make sure it has restraining straps or you stuff it tight so things don't slide forward and back as you drive.

I got the Brightline Rails today... I haven't seem the OEM ones up close, but guessing these are similar...took about 10 minutes to install (not bad at all). Not super heavy duty, and if I had to carry expensive stuff, all the time, I'm not sure I'd trust these and would look towards the higher end Yakima or Thule brand ones. For the once or twice a year that I want to carry my cargo box with some light stuff on it, I think these rails will be fine.

I will check the fitment of the Cargo Box Later this week. Will Post pics when I get them.
