14 JGC Mirror Covers?

I have a 14 JGC deep cherry limited. Not a fan of all the chrome, is there somewhere I can buy body color matched mirror and door handle covers?

looking for the same thing, hope someone chimes in! A bit leary of painting the chrome mirror caps to color match.

They look like they'd come off fairly easily... where maybe a good local bodyshop could paint them.

A good set of primered ones would be better than nothing.

I'd prefer a black on the dark cherry, but beginning to wonder if anyone makes a paint colored more or less like bug guts that inevitably coat them.

Chuckled at that! I cover my mirror caps with Xpel Ultimate whenever I do the bumper/hood wrap, A pillars, rocker panels, etc. Makes it much easier to get off the bugs.

I'm with you though - looking to replace the chrome caps on my '14 Overland with black sometime after the holidays.

Re: 14 JGC Mirror Covers?

Is it possible to take them off and have them powder coated in whatever color you like? I haven't taken delivery of mine yet, but that might have to be the frist thing I do.

It's kind of hard to powder coat plastic but I am sure you can paint them.

Re: 14 JGC Mirror Covers?

I'm another person who's not a fan of all the chrome. IMHO, Color Matched Side Mirrors would look MUCH better.

Any good powder coat shop could powder coat plastic. Done all the time on computer stuff--and isn't even a two step process any more unlike when you had to put on the conductive/emi layer first, then the color layer.

Re: 14 JGC Mirror Covers?

I believe these are just covers as i found the part APPLIQUE-MIRROR Part#: 82212218 to replace them but this is the chrome part. That being the case I would imagine that we should be able to order OEM body color matched mirror covers, in my case Billet Silver. 2014 SRT has color matched door handles and mirror covers, i'm on a mission to find them both! My goodness, that looks so much better.... how's the difficulty of the disassembly/install?

I haven't found the parts yet but i'm working on it. I assume the side view mirrors are somewhat easy but the door handles I would imagine require the removal of the door panels....when i find out more i'll post it here.

Good info. FYI - The GC Laredo models have body color mirror caps and door handles as well.
