The outer taillights are simple enough. What I want to know is how do you remove the liftgate mounted taillights to get to the bezel screw?

I just did this very same thing today to get my bezels off to plasti dip them. Take off the entire rear hatch panel. Pops off fairly easily. Tip: go to the local automotive store and get a Auto Trim and Molding Tool Kit. You'll be amazed how handy they are!

Caution: When you remove the rear hatch there are two locations where a wire from the light harness is connected to the rear hatch. So be careful and take your time. Good to have a second set of hands. You just have to pry the little snap off and slide them out. Then you are good to go, set it down in a safe place.

Then there are four bolts to remove each of the tail lights on the lift gate. It requires a 10mm socket. Remove all four and lift the light out. Then there is one screw to remove the bezel. BUT THAT'S NOT IT, YOU'RE NOT DONE!

The bezel has some adhesive weatherstripping in there. Once the screw is out start from that end and slowly work the bezel off, being cautious not to snap the little part of the bezel that sits UNDER the clear plastic part on tail light. I broke one but it turned out fine.

Use a narrow tool from the trim tool kit to slowly break the seal of the adhesive and then slide the bezel away from the end where the little portion sits under the clear part of the light.

There you have it. Just take your time and be patient.
