Just thought I would share the pictures of my '14 Summit with VLED VX3 5000k H11 fog light bulbs. Going into it I wasn't sure how the output would be as I had doubts if the two LED bulbs could utilize the projector housing correctly considering it was designed for a halogen bulb. To my surprise the output is excellent! Extremely sharp cutoff and very even distribution. They have 5000k and 6000k color temps and I went with the 5000k hoping that they would be a good tradeoff between the very white LED DRL's and the 4300K white/yellow factory HID headlights.
I couldn't be happier with the bulbs! Enjoy the pics!

Wall output shot comparing the VX3 LED compared to the stock bulb.

Another wall output shot with all the lights on including the HID headlights so you can compare all the colors.

LED DRL's and VX3 fogs only.

LED DRL's, HID headlights, and VX3 fogs all on.

Plug and play. As simple as removing the factory bulb and putting the new one in. No resistors or anything additional needed. Not sure on other models, but with my Summit I was able to just lay on the ground and reach up and change it from under the bumper just in front of each wheel there are some pretty big openings. Install time for both sides, I dunno 10 minutes?

Thanks! I was trying to look up by 5000k like a dummy. No wonder I couldnt find it.

Have you tried them out at night yet or only during the day? You know we all want to see the nighttime results!

Not really sure, but so far so good and it clearly states "safe for use in projectors" right on their site.
Also, as far as brightness, I can say that I was able to drive at night on a completely dark road with just the fogs on. Can't remember if I tried doing that with the original bulbs.

Well now it looks like i need to buy them!

Geez, this jeep is getting expensive. Ive already purchased various accessories and I havent even taken delivery yet! what a good problem to have.

If you get a chance, take some night time photos of what they look like and how bright they are

How is the color match with the stock 4300k HID headlights? I bought some of similar design (not vled) that were 6000k andthey were plenty bright but also too much blue in them that made the headlights look to yellow. Not looking to change headlights are these close in color? I saw the pictures but hard to tell with pictures sometime.

No that's a great question and here is what I can say about that. I decided to go with the 5000k because I wanted a color that was between the stock 4300k HID lights, and the LED DRL's. So I achieved exactly that. They aren't as bluish/white as the stock LED DRL's, but they aren't as yellowish as the stock HID's.
I am very happy with the 5000k.
If you want a fog light that matches the LED DRL's exactly, then you will have to go with the 6000k's. However, like you said this will make the HID's look more yellow when you have those on.
I will try and get some nighttime pictures using my DSLR camera, but even with that it's hard to gauge night time lighting with that. Like I said, they have enough output to drive at 40mph in the dead of night on a country road with the headlights off!

I installed these on my Overland and they would not light up, only flickered on once or twice. Called VLED and they said someone else with a GC just called with the same issue. Any idea why they won't work and is there any difference in electrical with the original poster's Summit?

Humm interesting. Wish I could help, but they work correctly each and every time for me. I have also tried them as headlights in my wife's new Odyssey since that uses H11 low beams and same in there worked every time. Keep us updated if you figure anything out.
Shouldn't be any differences in wiring it's just a simple 12v on/off. Put one of the original bulbs back in so that one side is LED and the other stock halogen and see if it still happens and if so to both bulbs or only the LED.

Its been about two weeks since your first post, can we get an update on how the bulbs are working (if they still are) and has anyone flashed their brights at you to turn them off?

They are 100% perfect and work as they should. Absolutely no oncoming driver has flashed me and that's not surprising considering the perfect cutoff that's retained with these bulbs. As seen in my pictures the cutoff line remains extremely sharp with no light bleeding above that line to blind oncoming drivers. So no, no one will flash you with these bulbs and in happy with them. They are more or less just like stock but whiter color and maybe a tad brighter. I recommend them and am happy with them.

I called VLED to ask about the issue with other users Overlands not accepting the bulb or not working properly. Not sure why a Summit would have no issue with a bulb but the overland would. This is the response I received.

"Hi Chad,

Unfortunately we don't have firsthand experience converting your year make model vehicle.
We do know that the fog lights work on the 2014 Jeeps; however yesterday we had a customer with a 2015 Jeep and the fog lights did not work on his vehicle.
The issue is in the way that the Fiat computer Canbus system operates.
The only way to make them work is to isolate the LED bulbs from the circuit.
Most likely we can do that with a relay harness and a pair of resistors.

Assuming your vehicles fog lights are an H11 part number:
Parts required (In addition to the H11 VX3 kit):

One each H11 relay harness: Search results for: 'H11_HARNESS'

Two each H11 resistor adapters: Search results for: 'H11_RES_ADAPT'

Two each (1 pair) for 3 Ohm load resistors: 3 OHM RESISTOR

Note that if you decide to order this kit: Please notify us right away after you place your order so that we can make sure we have all the correct components in the kit for you.
Also just an FYI that we have not actually tested this kit on your vehicle as of yet, so this may or may not work.

If you have any more questions please feel free to contact us and have a wonderful day.

Thank you,
