I was thinking of getting the navigation installed as well but now I'm hesitant. For the $600, does that include the installation of the sharkfin as well? or does that already come with the Altitude?

I'm also worried about any radio-related problems and warranty. If these radios are coming out of other cars, what are the possible issues we could face?

Still, $750 or whatever it is for a higher quality radio AND navigation makes a lot more sense than paying $600 for an "activation."

The ra4 unit gets added to your warrenty and the sharkfin is already on the altitude.

Don't do dealer nav buy a new unit and have them add it to your warrenty when u buy it problem solved. That's what I'm doing. I ordered my altitude today from Nader too let's see who gets it first wanna carpool lol

Re: 1st Mod : Nav - RA3 to RA4

I can also add that I have successfully installed a '15 Dodge Ram unit into a '14 JGC Laredo E. My original head unit was the RA3 "nav-ready" but not activated radio. Now I have navi, hd radio, changeable themes, etc.

Re: 1st Mod : Nav - RA3 to RA4

It is the RA4. Ordered it on ebay for $650. Had to get the anti-theft code from navrepair.com, but that was only $10. Install was very simple other than getting the front faceplate / bezel off. It feels like you might break it, but you have to go evenly from bottom to top.

Did you get selectable themes like the 2015's have in the display settings menu by doing this? when you get a chance check your settings for me.
