Re: 2011 2012 grand cherokee rear fog lights kit mopar oem

Just ignore him. He is giving others similar crap in the other Jeep forum, on the same issue.

If you don't like the price, just say it once nicely and then shut up about it. Think you can do a better job, prove it with pictures.

Stop accusing anyone who recommends the product of working for the company just because they are passing on correct and accurate information. The OP requests on both forums were regarding whether rear LED lights and/or fog lights were available for the GC. The answer was - they are and this is one of the few options currently available. This company has an OEM plug and play product, an easy to install kit that works and does not melt the tail-light housings. The Mopar Factory kit is $279 list price. The OEM accessory rear fog light bulb holders that replace the two rear reflectors are nearly $200 alone from Jeep when ordered separately. Let's see you add bulbs to the reflectors that come with the GC from the factory (ha - good trick if you could do it - not possible).

Some of us do not want cheap looking, aftermarket LED replacement housings on our nice new GC's. These are not 1997 Honda Civics. Most of us want quality, OEM looking products.

It many be expensive, and it may not be for everyone. If you actually knew how to search the forums, you would see this topic has been covered by several others and many members have added the kit to their GC's. Why don't you look them all up and then send them PM's telling them what a waste of money it was, that will go over well.

Tell us what mods you have done on your GC, so others can tell you what they don't like about them too. You may have upgraded wheels, tires, side steps, stereo, who knows what. Like posers who put Trail-Rated badges on GC's that did not have that option from the factory. All of which some might say was a big waste of $$$.

Better yet, how about contributing positively to the forum instead of ranting multiple times in the same postings on both forums about things you know absolutely nothing about and don't want to learn or listen from others.

Have the tailight solutions kit installed and it's a quality product. I cannot tell the difference between their harness and factory harness. Well done and I like the product really well but I wasn't sold on the idea of mimicking the rear lights, but it has grown on me. It took 10 mins to install and no risk of breaking any plastic parts. You always run the risk with plastic interior pieces of breaking them or introducing rattles. Quit complaining.

Never said it was a waste of money mods are whatever people want on their rigs.

My one point is the company is price gouging a product to make a profit and that most after market items have an insane profit vs cost %.

Your point is taken. But like Justal said, why don't you find a "cheaper solution" as you posted and share your findings with the forum.

If you can afford it, GO FOR IT, If you can't afford this mod than do not buy it. From what I have seen and read this mod is nice and looks great. I like it, and it will be my next mod.

I smell a group buy. I'm in if we can get the price down. Since the owner posts here frequently I'm sure he'll see this and chime in.

Re: 2011 2012 grand cherokee rear fog lights kit mopar oem

Mopar Factory rear fog $279 (before shipping), 4 high quality LED lights let's say $80 for all 4 of them (before shipping) we are already at $359.00 for the costs of materials before taking into consideration the cost of materials and labor to fabricate the 2 high quality harnesses plus the PROVIDED resistors. I would sell them for at least $600.

Re: 2011 2012 grand cherokee rear fog lights kit mopar oem

For what it's worth I had the taillight solutions kit on my 2010 GC SRT and loved it. My buddy installed it in about 10 minutes.

Thanks.
