Re: 2011-2013 Foglight upgrade Option

Those harnesses are a no match on the truck's side. The female pins on the truck's harness will not fit in the harness. The truck's harness has the pins on the outer side, while the harness has the female pin holes on the inner side. At least on the harness they sent me. They took it back though.

Did you get the harness for OEM Jeep 2504 bulbs?
Did they offer to resend you the right one?

Ours worked perfectly!

No he didn't call them about it, he did his MacGuyver thing to make it work...

I myself got the male connector and pins from www.autolumination.com after I had originally bought the adapter from www.ijdmtoy.com.

I am thinking since I have to solder on the plug, that I should just remove the H10/H11 and just solder the plug directly to the foglight wires and get rid of all the unnecessary transitions from 5202 to H10. 5202 to foglight sounds more sensible.

Nah, I went old school and spliced it. I sound brave now but my Mercedes Benz mechanic/neighbor was right next to me giving me advice. LOL. Like most of my projects, he comes over to help and ends up doing most of the work himself.

I did order those, I'm sending them back tomorrow for a refund.

Correy, I would solder them directly, after such upgrade, why would you ever go back to the old fogs. The only negative is that if they go bad, you have to replace the entire lens.

I am also just going to cut the jw harness and solder on a 5202 harness to mate with the factory.

Contact headlight revolution..... you might pay a little more but atleast they should be able to get you a plug and play solution

Re: 2011-2013 Foglight upgrade Option

I was tempted to just solder the fogs directly, but the JG vets here tell many stories of selling their vehicles and having to de-mod upgrades to get thier money's worth on the future sale. So soldering the 5202 plug after reversing/checking polarity it is. Same minor effort either way.

While I plan to keep this rig for a longer time period and have kept the above in mind, my box of stock parts is getting larger and the better half will likely throw it all out one day without asking permission.

+rep for JD.

WOW ONE MORE TIME!

Yes Headlight Revolution's adaptor harness will work;

Plug And Play Wire Harness Adapter for Jeep JK LED Fog Lights

AND This harness will also work....... MAKE SURE you get the harness for 2504 OEM bulbs!

Jeep Wrangler JK LED Fog Light adapter Harnesses

Now I have posted this info for at least FIVE times in this thread! WTF

And for those of you who still don't believe...... I personally used the "Top Line" adaptor harness w/no issues or problems!

I know someone else who bought his 6145 JW Speaker fogs from "Headlight Revolution" along with their adaptor harness'... (He paid to much but they work fine!)

When I did my install I ordered the components from; Headlights & Fog Lights
And made my own adaptor harness, as suggested in this thread! (Cheapest route!)

Oh gosh, do I really want to look back 14 pages I recall you posting the second link. Not the first one. Isn't the polarity crossed on the 2nd one making it not plug and play? I think that's on one of the pages as well.

No the polarity is crossed on the E-Bay supplied harness. The "Headlight Revolution" harness no one has had any problems with. My buddy bought his harness from "Top Line" and we had no problems with it... but apparently Dabitz had a problem with his "Top Line" harness. (I think they sent him the wrong one, but can't be sure what his problem was?)

Re: 2011-2013 Foglight upgrade Option

Nice! Got half the cable from autolumination thinking I was going to solder my own however the gauge wire used is so thin and the contacts are exposed. Not the quality I was expecting. Wires feel like they're going to come off.

Edit: Huh, looks like you went through autolumination too. I bought the connector with wire leads already soldered on them. Wasn't happy with what I got.

I'm on vacation thinking I was going to save $70 on gas for the week but the money's just going else where now...
