Buy aftermarket (TYC) set of halogen headlights because they are easier to 'heat 'n open' than the OEM headlights, and yet I've read that they appear to be just as good as OEM.

JW Speaker makes a 90mm LED low beam (and matching high beam, but I don't care about that).

Take apart the TYC headlight, mount in the JW Speaker 90mm LED low beam just like people have done with the HID projectors.

Glue back together and plug it in.

However, I don't think the wife will let me spend approximately $1000 on headlights.....
Or you could retrofit an even better pair of projectors

Anyone try these yet?

Curious to see actual brightness of bulbs vs halogen. Don't think there on the level of HIDs though.
I saw those here first:
22W LED HEADLIGHT KIT

I read through a forum for FT86 drivers....
The opinions seem to be split both good and bad.
I think I'd rather spend the $100 on their V3-Triton bulbs for the rear than those for the headlights.
I wonder how long those small fans on the back of the head light bulbs will last???

Re: 2011-2013 Foglight upgrade Option

Finally got my foglights installed this weekend.

I added some split wire loom to cover the raw wires and I trimmed off all the unnecessary clips off the adapter. Now they look like expensive foglights LOL but noone will ever see that stuff.

I have not adjusted them as yet so they are still aimed a bit too low but they are very close to the range of my E-codes that are aimed at a reasonable height since I don't have auto range adjustment.

I was in Alexandria last month and saw some buses the had some headlight that looked like the 90mm. I thought they were Xenon because of how white the light was but now after seeing that link I think they may have been the Speaker headlights. The city was bright already so I don't know how well the headlights cast light on the road.

Damn you people. Making me spend money I don't have. Lol. Guess I better start throwing on the overtime so I can get a set of these in black instead of chrome for my Altitude.

Yep, just stating better in this case.

I am optimistic until I see actual cutoff photos against a wall. The 8700 series looked like it had good output, but the video was shown from a jeep driving through the woods. Gauging by the head on look, there seems to be a ton of glare. Again, I am staying open until they can show actual output videos/pictures.

Re: 2011-2013 Foglight upgrade Option

Just speaking from my experience the connector that plugs into the car was correct from Headlight Revolution. With that said the connector that plugs into the fog lights was not. It was slightly different. Ended up having to cut that end off and use what came with the fogs.

Jeep Wrangler JK LED Fog Light adapter Harnesses

Now I have posted this info for at least FIVE times in this thread! WTF

And for those of you who still don't believe...... I personally used the "Top Line" adaptor harness w/no issues or problems!

I know someone else who bought his 6145 JW Speaker fogs from "Headlight Revolution" along with their adaptor harness'... (He paid to much but they work fine!)

When I did my install I ordered the components from; Headlights & Fog Lights
And made my own adaptor harness, as suggested in this thread! (Cheapest route!)

I'm confused....... didn't you state in post #168 of this thread you ordered adaptor wiring from autolumination to wire up these fogs, and found the quality to be poor?

Now you say you had a problem with the adaptor harness from Headlight Revolution??

Which is it??

No one else has had a problem with the adaptor harness from Headlight Revolution!

What was wrong on the fog light side? Which company are you talking about?

Did you order the Headlight Revolution adaptor harness for 2504 OEM fog light bulbs?

Several people on this board have purchased adaptor harness' from Headlight Revolution to mount these fogs and have had zero problems with them!

Re: 2011-2013 Foglight upgrade Option

Didn't use the wires from autolumination.

Correct, I had a problem with the adapter harness from Headlight Revolution. The part that plugs into the Jeep was correct. The part that plugs into the 6145 fogs was not.

I guess not surprising since it says the adapter harness is designed for the JW Speaker #6045 and the Truck-Lite #80275.

Plug And Play Wire Harness Adapter for Jeep JK LED Fog Lights

Black end of the cable fit the Jeep wiring. The white/gray end did not fit the connector on the Speaker 6145 for me.

If the wiring harness is interchangable between the Speaker 6045 and 6145 then maybe they used a subpar batch of connectors that connect to the fog light end.
