Re: 2011-2013 Foglight upgrade Option

I have the gap also and thought it was good in case they got too hot and wouldn't start melting stuff.

I went a different route. Wanted the 2014 Projector Fogs with 3000K Yellow HID kit. Check out my thread on what I did.

2014 Fogs Retrofit to 2013 WK2
I like the 3000k yellow fog light. Great for bad weather.........
But thats a lot of work to get less lumens for a lot more money.
The JW Speaker fogs bolt right up in the OEM foglight location, (2011~2013 WK2's), have no bulbs to burn out and replace, no ballast or additional wiring to install with no heat issues. Quick, clean, and excellent light output. Definitely the way to go in my opinion!

misinformation?
jw speaker = 1,080 Raw lumens(610 Effective)
3000k hid = 3,000 Raw lumens, and i'm pretty sure that the 2014 projector is more then 20% effective

jw speaker led is ~375 bucks, can't imagine that to be much cheaper then the complete retrofit?

Lol, for $1.03 per day for a year (sounds like one of those charity infomercials), the JW's light improvement are worth it to me. Out of all my mods, I would do this one first over and over again. They are pricey, but not one regret or issue since installed. I forgot about the price for them, once I started reaping the benefits of the improved light output.

Re: 2011-2013 Foglight upgrade Option

I am working on something to see if I can get the jw fogs for the old price of roughly $300 a pair.

I will let you guys knows

I was thinking of getting a black pair to replace the chrome ones I have.

Re: 2011-2013 Foglight upgrade Option

looking at the jwspeaker
Morimoto XB LED Fog lights
these look like they would be easy to put in, albeit a bit smaller then the jw speakers.

Huh, those JW fogs are nice. Do they have one to fit the 2014's?

Really?

Are you saying the JW Speaker fogs don't put out as much Lumens as those 3000K Hid's???

How much is your time worth? That complete retrofit is a lot more work than a plug and play install that requires the removal & reinstallation of 4 OEM screws!

How much easier do you want this install to be? Two OEM screws per light and a plug and play harness...... can it get any easier than that?

Why would the lights you linked to be easier? Because they have the right leads on them. The listing doesn't mention Jeep Wranglers so I'll assume they won't bolt right up like the JW Speaker fogs that were designed specifically for Wranglers and drop right in to several other mopar vehicles. Jeep Grand Cherokees just need an adapter harness for the JW Speaker fogs to work.......that's all, nothing else!
Not to mention those 3 watt leds don't put out anywhere close to the lumen output of the JW Speaker fogs!!!!!
