Just out of curiosity, how does HID and LED look in the snow? I have read that they get washed out when it snows

Re: 2011-2013 Foglight upgrade Option

Honestly - that gets into the 'yellow fog lights vs white fog lights topic which is like a drunken political argument at 2am that I don't want to ge't into

I think you will be happy with white LED if you go that route which is why you see these being installed on so many JK wranglers as well. I watched a youtube video by headlight revolution overviewing the JK fog light upgrade option and they basically stated the 6145 JW Speaker is hands down the best replacement fog light money can buy.

Re: 2011-2013 Foglight upgrade Option

Bringing this thread back from the 'dead' (so to speak).

I recently ordered some LEDs from Autolumination (Automotive Household Truck Trailer RV Lighting Led Light Bulbs) and they had a brand name on them (blueseatec).

Just for grins I did a Google search on the brand name and it's a pretty well known Chinese company (at least from the Google search) and when I was following some of the links to read about their products I came across this US site selling their products including these:

https://www.mudlifeled.com/product/a...ed-fog-lights/

Appears to be a knockoff of the JW Speaker LED fog lights, but also about 50% less than the JW Speaker fog lights for those hesitant to drop $400 on LED fog lights.

Just wanted to put out another option for people.

Re: 2011-2013 Foglight upgrade Option

Not to be a snob here - but to me its JW Speaker or nothing. The quality of those units are top notch. I was hesitant to spend the cash at first trust me.

These Chinese clones I'm sure are better than the stock candles, but to me if I had to do it all over again I wouldn't even chance it.

Did a bunch of research today and so far all the comments (well nearly) were positive.. I feel you on the cost vs quality but time will tell. I might pull the trigger on them.

Morimoto also makes a set of LED fogs that fits Chrysler vehicles.

I have the JW Speaker fogs and agree they are well worth the money even at $400, but some may not have the funds and I think the Chinese versions would be a MUCH better alternative than the OEM fog lights.

Re: 2011-2013 Foglight upgrade Option

If anyone wants to pull the trigger on the morimoto I can save you $15 off the list price on the TRS site and shipping would be included.
