They're not adaptive, auto leveling is not adaptive lighting. Adaptive lighting had the capability of turning with curves in the road, following cars and casting a "tunnel" of sorts with high beam assistant(I'm also in the process of swapping out oem Bi-xenons on my 2014 bmw, and that is what the BMW adaptive lighting is capable of)

But I got my last bit of wiring in the mail, but I haven't had a chance of actually working on the install since I work 7 days a week with only one day off in 14 days.

Low beam:

These are bi-xenon, but they also have a separate high beam that comes on along with a shutter that opens:

Main power connector along with turn signal connector(driver side):

Leveling motor plug:

Plug for LED strip:

I have everything for the install now, I just need to find the time to do it. One interesting thing about these is that with the turn signal, they only come on when you press the turn signal on, other than that, they are not on as a running light.

Thanks for the great pics Adam. And yes, I meant to say auto-leveling. Not AFS. My '12 has the auto-leveling module on the bottom next to the ballast.
I'm wondering how these work without a module.

I'm not sure, that was the only plug I could get to operate with the probe. But I won't be using the auto level anyways, so it should work fine if you're not coming from OEM xenon.

Re: 2011-2013 guys - have you seen these on eBay?

I ordered these a couple of days ago: For Jeep Compass LED Headlights Front Lamps 2007 to 2015 Year Black Housing LD | eBay and they are currently en route from China. I have no idea what I am doing. I have HID (image attached) on my '13 Limited. Can you give me a heads up on what I'll need to complete the project?

Should be direct plug and play for you from what I've gathered doing all of this. You'll just have to get the DRL activated if you don't have them already, only because the LED stripes run off of the H13 inner light.

Get with jeep_addicted on the DRL, I believe he figured out how the wiring configuration for the export market headlights.

No, I know on the compass' the drl is activated with the all weather package, but I'm not sure what the requirements for the GC to get DRL's. But on your headlights, there should be a bulb on the inner reflectors(where the high beam would be in the halogen models) that is the DRL on the Xenon lights. They may be burned out, since I always see them driving around here with only one light on.

It may be burned out.. but it also might just be that I am an idiot. I just read my manual and it said the DRL doesn't turn on when you are in Park. I have had my car in Park every time I've gotten out to test my lights (obviously).

Interesting. From what I have seen, on other cars, the led drl turn off when the turn signals are on, the opposite of what you observed with yours (if that is what you are talking about). Maybe the wiring is inverted.

That's how the current set up on the jeep works. My DRL is the high beam, and it turns off when the turn signal is activated. But because I'm essentially doing the OEM halogen to xenon retrofit with these lights, I don't have all the same plugs to make this a true plug and play swap without having to have the additional adapters.

Made a little headway with these yeaterday, got most of both harnesses done, just have to wire up the DRL's.

LED strip lit up as parking light(dimmed):

Low beams:

And with high beams:

So these won't work with 2012 Grand Cherokee with Halogens, correct?

Need to have the HID package and they are plug and play?
