Re: 2011-2013 guys - have you seen these on eBay?

I got them from ledangeleye163 on Ebay. They said to mention in the comments if you want them to come with HID. I didn't see that when I ordered, so that's on me. They responded by sending me that quote: Luckily, I'm going with LEDs, not HIDs for my High, Low, and turn signals so I am hoping that I didn't screw myself. Maybe you can correct me if I am wrong on that count as well?

I am not sure, I believe it varys between sellers on these units. All I know is that these aftermarket housings simply have projectors and some sellers are including HID upgrade kits alongside the units themselves.

The turn signals are LED in these already, and I think the standalone high beam spot is for looks anyways, since they don't appear to actually throw any light, but they are true bi-xenon with a shutter. I am also looking at putting an led bulb in the high beam spot, but I think it's going to be for ascetics only though, so I think any one of the cheaper (ijdmtoy) H7 bulbs should work just fine.

As far as the main beam, it may or.may not work with the LED bulb, I know mine came with a CANBUS ballasts, along with a 5500k D2H bulb, so I'm not sure if they will work with the LED bulbs or not.

Re: 2011-2013 guys - have you seen these on eBay?

This is exactly what I have:

Amazon.com: JDM ASTAR 1200 Lumens Extremely Bright 144-EX Chipsets 3056 3156 3057 3157 LED Bulbs with Projector , Xenon White: Automotive

Which is in the inside high-beam spot currently and serves as the my DRL (until I pop in the new lamps, where the built in LED strips will obviously serve that job). I'll still transfer those LEDs to the new ones to serve the aesthetic job, as you mentioned.

Interested to see if this works. I have a 2012 overland that I would love to put these on if they are plug and play.

Well, that was... Uh fun? Definitely was not simple plug and play, but it also wasn't impossible.

I bypassed the leveling motor for now, as the connectors didn't match up, though I do plan on figuring out an adaptor at some point to get that functionality back.

The high beam pins don't match up either. I literally had to plug that in sideways to have the pins make proper contact. Not that big of a deal. I left the halogen light that comes with the new ones in the high beam position. I am going to end up installing an LED in there as well, but I'll have to drill the socket and do some rewiring.

My opt7 led low beams worked perfectly with the adapters that were included with them. I am sorry to say that I don't have picks of the behind the scenes. It was cold and rainy today and I just wanted to get the job done.

Overall, I am very happy and these look great. I definitely recommend them, but I wouldn't just describe them as plug and play. Someone more experienced with headlights probably would have had less of a struggle than I did. Your mechanic probably would be able to do an install without much sweat, if you want to go down that path. I will report back as I use these in different conditions. I also thought I saw a tiny bit of fogging when I parked. I'm going to go for a drive later and see if that is an issue.

I am just happy it worked out. To clarify: Yep, I did not buy any aftermarket harnesses or adapters. The OPT7 (H11 connector) comes with the appropriate adapters (actually, it comes with 3 different types of adapters), so I used one of those to plug them in to the low beam. I was not able to replace the high beams with the JDM ASTAR LEDs yet. You can see in my photo, that the high beam (inside lights) are not the same 6000k because I left the halogen that came with the new headlights. The socket is setup for a different socketed halogen. I am going to pull that bulb tomorrow to figure out what the appropriate equivalent LED light is, so I can get everything matching at 6000k. I will, of course, report back. Yep, I bypassed the socket for the leveling motors because the connectors did not match up. I will also report back once I figure that portion out.

How's the cut off look with the LED's? Also, something I thought about this morning, it could be that the compass and the GC us a different connecter for the leveling module.
