The GC definitely uses a different connector on the leveling motor. It also relies on sensors and the leveling module(attached on bottom) to tell it what to do.

I'm wondering if the GC leveling motor can be installed into these aftermarket lamps. They appear to just twist in like a 9006 bulb.

That's the back of the export compass headlight. Since the LED headlights are built using the export housings, they use the same motor. I'll check when I get home to see if you can swap the leveling motors out or if you could get ahold of the pigtail for the Compass motors, you could swap them over.

2011-2013 guys - have you seen these on eBay?

So... Here is an unfortunate wrinkle. I am having major condensation/fogging issues. It is about 50 degrees outside and this is the result of driving for about an hour:

I am pretty appalled by this. I will be emailing the seller tonight. Assuming that gets me nowhere... Does anyone have an idea for a solution? Do I want to use some sort of sealant around the edges? Or just he opposite? Should I drill a pin hole in the back rubber covers, to allow for temp equalization? Always something...

Mine had a desiccant bag glued inside of each housing, did yours not? I would start ( I know it's going to be a hassle) by resealing the entire headlight and see if that gets you anywhere.

Not saying this is the cause of the problem, but a lot of my fellow car club members had the same problem when they used LEDS in their projector headlamps, because they do not produce the heat of a halogen or xenon to eliminate the condensation.

Xenon's don't really produce enough heat to dissipate moisture either, that's why they require headlight washers with Xenon's in Europe.

Anyone plan to buy these (who has factory HIDs) and use the provided HID's, I want to buy them, but if someone is already ahead of me on this, I want to make sure they are a direct plug/play.

So far the only thing that doesn't seem compatible is the auto leveling motor. Sidebox is coming from factory HID's and that was the only thing he could get to match up.

Re: 2011-2013 guys - have you seen these on eBay?

I emailed the seller. He said that if I pay to have them shipped back to China, he will ship me a new set. I asked two things. 1. Why should I have to pay return shipping for a defective product? 2. Both lights are fogging. Is this going to be an issue with any replacements, making an exchange a waste of time?

good luck with shipping them back, USPS won't do it with the one big box, and I never bothered getting a quote for anyone else. As far as return shipping goes, the last few things I've ordered directly from China (both amazon and ebay) when I went to return them, they all wanted me to pay for the return shipping. But I think eBay has a deal that if the product is defective, and you and the buyer agreed to do an exchange, that they are required to pay for return shipping.

I would 1. Either take them back out and redo the seal on them, or 2. Take them back out and get them resealed by a place that specializes in headlight modifications.

I personally would get a shipping quote back to wherever they want you to ship them back, and then get a quote to have them resealed to see if that does the trick.

My thought was that the replacements will probably not be sealed either, so I'm not going to waste my time sending them back to China. I am taking the Jeep in for some chrome wrapping tomorrow morning. While I'm there, I'll find out how much they'll charge me to seal them up. This shop is high end, and they shouldn't have an issue with it.

God, these lights look so good. Even parked, and not on. The black inside and the plastic molding of the LEDs looks great.
