That sucks but o-well HID'S aren't expensive.

It would be nice to be able to buy a out the door package with HID'S or whatever as a option.

Can we get better pics of them installed?

Update

It appears these headlights probably wont fit, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Checked with the manufacturer of these lights, and apparently, for the Chinese market Compass, they are all equipped with halogen projector headlights, the wiring is very similar to the OEM HID headlight option, eg, a single 3 pin plug, rather than separate 2 pin plugs for the low and high beams.

Reflector housings or factory HID headlights are not an option over there as they are here.

As a result, these headlights were designed for the local market in China, so unless one was willing to get an adapter made, these lights will not be a plug and play option for cars with reflector housings.

If you have OEM HIDs, then you can probably fit these in, but you will need to get an aftermarket HID kit, and H7 bulbs. Its kind of a step backwards as the factory HID ballasts are a high quality product. If anyone wants to give it a try, just let me know.

I honestly don't think whipping up a custom harness for these will be that hard. We have some pretty awesome guys making OEM Halogen to OEM HID harnesses on this board already - the main hurdle is getting a cool aftermarket housing that fits in the same footprint, which these do. Can we get user Jeep_addicted over here to chime in . I will send him a PM

Unless you know someone good luck getting plugs/harnesses made from Mopar parts, I have been trying to find a specific plug and it is a nightmare both from the Mopar site and dealers, they don't know squat. I even reached out to members here on JC without any luck on getting part numbers or location to purchase what I need for my harness for another project.

I have factory HIDs.....so there is no way for the stock HID's to fit inside the housing?

Is it the bulb base that doesn't twist in?

I thought all factory HIDs came with the LED strip version of the headlights, bummer.

You haven't done much research then. I am running a harness from Jeep_addicted for my oem halogen to oem hid which utilizes factory connectors... let's not get off topic here

Maybe? None of us have this aftermarket headlight housing in our hands yet.

Just a reminder, we are talking 2011-2013 here. Factory HID WK2s did not have LED strips, you are thinking 2014+.

Yes I did and that is who I reached out to with no help insight, hence the phrase "unless you know someone"
