Re: 2011 front grill

I'm curious about this myself. I have a white 2013 Laredo and I'm not a fan of the chrome. I'm trying to decide on color though... black to match the other pieces of chrome that I plan on making black, white to match the rest of the body, or some type of gunmetal grey similar to the Trailhawk model. Have you looked into Plasti Dip instead of paint?

Re: 2011 front grill

I just got my 2013 Limited last week and I have been going to town getting rid of the chrome. I personally like the matte black for the slight bit of contrast. I went with simple Plastidip, in black. I believe that make a shiny version as well. Plastidip is a great option. It is not permanent, but strong enough to hold up for a long time. You just have to do minor tape work, as it will simply peel off around your target, and will microfiber off if you do have some overspray. Here are some pics of my early work.

Why did you take the whole bumper off just to spray the grill??

There are a few clips behind the grill to just pull it right off.

Re: 2011 front grill

I was planning on adding tow hooks, but I changed my mind once I pulled the bumper facia off. Oh, I also forgot to plug my fog lights back in... which was a genius move.
