2011 jgc laredo cliamate controller

Hey guys, I have a quick question. I have a 2011 jgc laredo with dual zone climate but the controller is the one with the knobs and i want to upgrade it to the illuminated one. I was told that the ones they sell at just for jeeps might now work properly. does anyone know which part number and where i can find the one that will fit my jeep?

thanks in advance

I have a 13 and did the mod.. The issue is, is that the ones that they sell now have been modified to not work as a replacement.. Once you plug it in, it lights up like a Christmas tree and doesn't work.. You need to find someone who is parting out one that was purchased earlier.. I think the one they sell now is an ap when you need an aq (or vice versa).

Edit.

You need the ap and all they sell is the aq.

I'm still trying to figure out this site, but I have a question. How do I remove the front brake drums on a 1964 CJ5

Re: 2011 jgc laredo cliamate controller

Just checked ebay and they have a few that will fit your rig.

11 13 Jeep Grand Cherokee Climate AC Heater Control | eBay

2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee A C Climate Control | eBay

Remember, only the AP versions will work on the 11 12 and 12's.. AQ's will just light up like a Christmas tree and not work

Re: 2011 jgc laredo cliamate controller

Personally I would go for the second link.. Much cheaper price and less buttons that won't do anything for your rig.

I'd jump on that one ASAP.. Make an offer for like $50 and see what happens.. Mad cheap

First off, great purchase. Secondly, since you purchased the AP and not the AQ it will work seamlessly. I have the AP in my rig and zero codes were thrown..

Lastly, if you haven't installed it yet, here is the link to do so. In all honesty, it should take you no longer than 10 minutes to install it.

How to add Auto HVAC to your WK2!

Circle back once it's done.

the only thing i was not able to verify is if this unit is american or canadian, so there is a very good chance my read out will be in fahrenheit. I guess its not the end of the world I'm just gonna have to learn what fahrenheit is lol and convert to celsius
