2011 LED Fog light question

Hello! I have a 2011 wk2 with standard halogen fog lights. I'm looking to upgrade them to LED. I bought some hid bulbs for them and a wire harness but never installed them yet as I kinda want to try leds. I was looking online and it likes you can buy entire led projector housing for it. Has anyone done this? Any recommendations?

Re: 2011 LED Fog light question

I bought these on a whim, because I couldn't afford the $360 a set fogs.

https://www.amazon.com/Lights-Tracto...TS2C1Z3KARBZDW

They are AWESOME! installed them in 15minutes, not a sharp a cut off as the Speakman lights, but better than the factory H24's.

Bright as all get out!

Did you have to remove the bumper to install?

Re: 2011 LED Fog light question

Nope, you can do it two ways, peeling back the fender liner, or like I did by removing the lower fascia (7 1/4 turn connectors) and reaching up from below.
Seriously easy.
There's a bunch of threads on doing this, some with lots of pictures, just search under JW Speaker fog lamps.

And they are a direct fit for the 2011 wk2?

Can you take any pics?

Yes they are the same as the wranglers, and no I didn't take any pictures.

Let me google that for you

The OEM fog light bulbs are not halogen, they are simple 24 watt incandescent bulbs (think reverse light bulbs).

JW Speaker fog lights are pretty much the best option.

Do not put HID bulbs into the OEM housings.... They will melt.

Morimoto fog lights (direct replacement):

If you want LED 'bulbs' to go into the stock housings (recommended this to my step-son with a Patriot):
PSX24W LED Kit | PSX24W LED fog light

The Wrangler and Grand Cherokee fog lights are interchangeable (2011-2013).

I started off with PIAA LP530 fog lights and adapted them into the OEM frames. Better than stock, but not as good as the JW Speaker fogs.

I still have the PIAA fog lights (plug and play) sitting in my basement. I only used them for a couple months before the JW Speaker lights came out and I upgraded. (I'd be willing to part with them for $200 shipped. PM me if interested.)

I'm not trying to disparage your purchase, but it will be interesting to see how long they last.

I was just reading an article about how cheap Chinese products are flooding Amazon. I've started to be more careful about products I buy from Amazon.
