Some vehicles do not have adjustable camber (only toe). This leads to uneven tire wear when the vehicle is lowered (check out the Japanese VIP scene for extreme examples). Aftermarket replacements exist which can resolve this. However, it sounds like we're in the clear with the WK2.

I guess we'll find out for sure when the first post-spring alignment is performed!

Props to the guys getting it done and sharing pics & info with the forum.

Getting my eibach springs put on Thursday. Then, I have to wait a week to get an alignment. I'll post before and after pics.

I can't wait to see 'em! Curious why you have to wait a week to get an alignment, though - most full service shops can perform that as soon as the springs are installed.

I would recommend letting the springs and suspension parts settle after install before getting an alignment. Or you may align it right away and then a few hundred miles later it'll be out of whack again.

That is exactly what the shop said.

Although, I called Eibach and they said that the springs are pre-settled and not necessary to wait for the alignment.

I'm am going to wait the week anyway, can't do any harm. The shop doing the install will also perform the alignment.

Re: 2011 wk2 lowering kit

very interested in this also as i have had a few lowered cars and they've all taken about a week to completely settle. i would def. recommend waiting at least a week before getting an alignment.
