I have the tow package (5.7 Hemi 4X2) with the self-leveling rear suspension......Eibach told be that their springs are NOT compatible with that option. They said to just swap out the rear shocks and I'm good. Can anyone else comment on this?
If they aren't compatible and you want to do it then you'll have to replace the shock. The self leveling shock is a stand alone unit, its just the shock, no other components involved. Its a Nivomat shock made by ZF Sachs. There should be no issue with replacing these as long as you realize you wont have that added lift under heavy load.
One more question, what are my options for shocks? I can't seem to find any aftermarket performance shocks. I'd really like to get some Koni's but their web site doesn't list them.
Is my only option stock shocks?
I'm new to Jeeps so I really don't know all the parts suppliers.....will I have to buy the "stock" shocks from the stealer or can I save a buck and order online?
I still have my Eibach lowering kit in the box sitting in the garage. Didn't know they're not compatible with self leveling shocks at the time of purchase . Would it possible for you to list all part numbers requried for convert ng to non leveling? Thanks in advance.
