2012 Overland Grill

I don't like my chrome grill. I have looked but cannot find a Deep Cherry Red grill. Does anyone know where I could get one that will be a direct replacement?

Re: 2012 Overland Grill

have it painted or order one from a an Altitude version as it includes a color-matched grill. I believe they made a deep cherry altitude version.

The deep cherry altitude grille is PX8(gloss black)

The only way to get a deep cherry grille is to have it custom painted.

All you really need to do is remove the chrome b part if you need to use your truck while the grille is being painted

My mistake...I knew that. Yes, only way is to have it painted.

Bummer...I don't want to paint over chrome. If I get a stone chip it will show like hell...

A good paint shop should be able to sand it, apply adhesion promoter and paint it without problem. I had my chrome mirror caps done by a local shop in that way. They have held up fine the last two years. A shop that tells you it can't be done is just too lazy to put the work in. I believe there is actually someone on this site who has painted a bunch of chrome parts for JG members. Someone who remembers the name will likely chime in with his contact info.

Re: 2012 Overland Grill

His name is Scott (not sure of his forum name) and he does a great job. I am going to be sending him my chrome grill and mirror caps to be painted as well. he painted the rear brow and it turned out great.

If you don't feel comfortable with painting the chrome, get an altitude version (painted oem black) and have it repainted to match.
