2012 Overland, just got WeatherTech floor liners

Just put in the WeatherTech floor liners. 1st and 2nd row, did not do the cargo area, as I'm not crazy about the WT cargo liners.

Impressions, drivers side fits perfect, passenger side not the best fit, hopefullly will sit down a bit once it warms up. 2nd row is very nice fit, they could extend under the seats a bit more but 100% better than factory options.

I ordered black as the bege would get dirty and the Gray doesn't match. The Black work good for me against the Dark frost rug.

x2. Mine is great. It doesn't really have a 'lip' but it seems like it would hold some water, should it need to. Its about a full inch thick - very beefy. And fits perfect.

Re: 2012 Overland, just got WeatherTech floor liners

Looks good!
I like how well the drivers side fits. Perfect
The passenger does look like its sitting up a bit, hopefully will settle in.
The second row looks fine too.
I'd buy them.

They look pretty good! Did you keep the original floor mats underneath?

After I got my final number I had the dealer toss in the Wheel locks and Mopar/Jeep cargo mat as a bonus. He did, I figured, it never hurts to ask

It's a temporary thing, as it doesn't meet my needs. I've been talking to the Lloyds folks, I want a full matt that will bend at the 2nd row seat break. So when the 2nd row seats are up the backs are covered and when I put them down the extended cargo area is covered. I don't want one of those fabric ones, they are just a pain in the butt. I want a semi rigid liner, no trays either.

Re: 2012 Overland, just got WeatherTech floor liners

I have the same weather tech floor liners and the same color combination. My front passenger side mat fits very well; hopefully yours will settle down after a while. If it doesn't you might consider returning it, since it should fit better than what you are showing.

Setting it out in the sunshine will soften it up. I did that to my mats in my OEM rubber mats in my BMW by WeatherTech too.

Re: 2012 Overland, just got WeatherTech floor liners

I also have WeatherTechs and I am happy with them, but I had to do an owner mod for the winter salt zone where I live.

The holes where the clips pass through are not sealed and will allow salty water to seep through long before you reach an inch depth of fill. Besides, when driving on curves, bumps and hills, any salty water will easily slosh over the small 'berm' around the clip holes and leak out through them.

So there are a few options:
1. Become religious about emptying any water from the liner, perhaps on a daily basis depending on temperatures;
2. Use silicone sealant to fill around the clips in the holes to make them more waterproof. Problem is this seal will be broken everytime you remove the mat to clean or drain it;
3. Modify the Jeep floor clips so they are not as high. Then permanently fill the holes in the WeatherTech liners so that water can never leak through them.

Number 3 is the solution I used. This has the risk that the mat may be able to slide around if it comes off the shorter clips, but it has never been a problem with mine in almost a year of use.

IMHO, there is a fourth solution, which WeatherTech should implement. Make a dome shaped cap over top of the clip holes to prevent water leaking there. They can have my patent rights if they just DO IT.
