Re: 2014.5 Summit black interior now copper/silver?!?!

The Overland Black Interior is also copper.

I think the Overland Beige Interior and Indigo/Brown are silver though, and of course the SRT is silver. I would think they would interchange. The problem is the steering wheel, but Scott said just the silver part can be replaced on the steering wheel, but that would be costly. Probably best to get it painted unless you'd be happy with either an SRT steering wheel or a Limited black leather steerin wheel from a black/beige interior Limited. Or if you could get the earlier produced parts from the black Summit from when they were all silver would be best, or find a Summit on a dealer lot somewhere that is an earlier build with the silver parts already built in.

Re: 2014.5 Summit black interior now copper/silver?!?!

We'll have to see if the copper color grows on me. If not, I definitly think an SRT carbon fiber / silver trim change will be in order... as long as they'll fit.

Hmmm.. No more silver trim on the '14 summit?
I know the wife didn't care for the copper trim only option is that we have to settle with an '14 srt!!!!!!!

I'm not a huge fan of the copper trim either. It used to be silver then jeep changed it to copper... now if you go to jeeps site the interior pics show it as silver again for the summit where it used to show it as copper. Maybe they are changing it back!

Re: 2014.5 Summit black interior now copper/silver?!?!

I have a '14 Summit with an 11/13 build date and a black interior. I can stare at the trim, and kinda tell that it's not silver. It's about the same color as a set of wheels I have on one of my motorcycles, that they call "magnesium-tone" - just a quarter-shade of not-silver in the color. It doesn't look like a copper pot, or like plumbing pipe. It just has some depth to it is all. It's barely noticable.

I am not a fan of either trim color. I have always hated silver painted plastic but copper/gold is even worse IMHO. Are there any after market alternatives.

Also, does anyone find the silver trim susceptible to scratches?
