Oh yeah now that's a good price I would not mind paying that, unfortunately most of us will not have the option of selling the crappy ass chrome ones since no one wants them.

But $157.94 shipped? how did you manage that since allmoparparts is charging $49+ and I am sure there will be shipping and probably tax added. That is why I stated $200+

I have also been following other parts posts and pretty much all parts are a ridiculous price, Chrysler/Mopar sure want to rip people off, I mean you already paid in some cases $40k+ for your vehicle, plastic parts should not cost and arm and a leg. Just my opinion.

If you are leasing why would you want to add to it? unless you plan on purchasing after you lease is up...

Uh, because he/she may want to enjoy it more, or get more usability while they own it???

And it would only add it the resale value, in the case of the back up camera addition.

Re: 2014 Altitude parts

Uh, Lease does not equate to own in my opinion.

if he/ she can get added value to something the dealer did not have on the vehicle originally for a returned lease then cool more power to them by all means add away.

I was not aware dealers took into consideration modifications done to leased vehicles. And I was also not aware you get money back after one's lease is up. Learn something new everyday.

Honestly, I'm not sure that they do with a leased vehicle. Got myself a bit confused there with resale and leased return stipulations, but I would think it was negotiable.

Really I was just speaking to the desire to have the feature while they drove the Jeep and I don't think it should be something that holds anyone back if they are that interested in it. Just because it's leased doesn't mean you can't make it "better". Obviously there are limits to the acceptable mods as well.

Re: 2014 Altitude parts

Does anyone have the part numbers for the grille rings by chance? I assume those are pricey, and like others have said plasti-dip and home solutions don't appeal to me I prefer OEM.

Regarding the above about leased cars......the dealer is not going to give you anything extra for modifications done to the car. You either turn the car in and walk away, or purchase it for the residual and then try to sell it for more than you paid, that's the only way it goes down. Usually modifications do nothing to enhance the value of the car, as your everyday Joe looking for a pre owned GC could care less if the tail bezels are black or grey or whatever, we're just the freaks that notice that kind of stuff, the majority of the population would never notice something like that, nor care.

Using the part numbers provided by MOFSTEEL you can get them at moparonlineparts:

moparonlineparts_JeepBezels.JPG

Looks like it equates to $142.26 + $18.49 shipping = $160.75.

Thanks for clarifying that. I should know by now after my third leased vehicle.

And as far as the grill rings, I don't think they have the black ones available yet, from what I've read. And they will be in high demand from the get-go, so they may take a while to get a hold of. They are about ~$350 for the set. :BurnMoney:

2015 GC Altitude Black grill rings....Will they fit my 2014 SRT?

Haha, yeah I've always leased as well, the SRT is actually the first car I've purchased, I've always leased cars before and had intentions on leasing this one, but the lease programs were horrid and just didn't make sense so I bought it.

Yeah $350 for the rings is a bit steep......maybe they will be a little less, I saw the chrome ones go for 105ish and the platinum ones are quite a bit more ($350ish I think), so I'm hoping just a black painted one would fall somewhere in the middle of those two. Suppose another option that some have done is to get them painted professionally for around 100 bucks.

That sounds about right. But I would choose vinyl wrapping them over painting, for durability reasons. It sounds like some of those that have painted them are already seeing chips. The vinyl will hold much better against dings and scratches. And it looks exactly the same as paint finish/quality to me.
