2014 Door panel removal clips

I was reading some posts about how to remove the front door panels and the person who was doing it mentioned that the door panel clips are designed for one time/use install. I believe he had a 11~13 model.

Then i saw there is a piece/trim that needs to be removed to get access to the bolts that hold the mirror, and according to the thread i was reading, this piece(i believe it is a trim that goes around the top of window and house the tweeters) are basically riveted in two places, and in order to remove this trim, i would need to break the rivets.

If this is correct, how do i go to obtain this replacement rivets and the above mentioned clips?

I'd like to know because I just ordered the mirrors with blinkers and they should be here sometime by the end of this week and I would like to re-install all parts the correct way.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Re: 2014 Door panel removal clips

I removed the panels on all 4 of my doors to change my door handles and the retainer clips all popped back into place just fine (I have a '13).

Just be careful when removing the panel from the door - no need for excessive force. I started from the bottom and worked my way up.

thanks... any chance that you could remember how the trim that holds the tweeters were bolted?

Ever notice the link at the bottom of every page for WK2Jeeps.com? Milous provides more information on that one site than most of us will ever need. Included in all that info is a file on interior trim removal.
