What makes no sense is how a piece this big and nice quality can only be $18, especially when compared to the $264 I paid for the four little '11-'13 door chrome mouldings.
I just received mine as well from my dealer, who also only charged me $18.00. I was shocked at the price, since dealer pricing is usually ridiculous. The chrome exhaust tip I ordered was twice as much. Lol

I can't wait to see how you fared removing the original insert.

SHHH! Maybe we can get away with that price for a little while longer.

Re: 2014 front bumper chrome trim

LOL.... I paid 180 for the chrome piece on my 12' Laredo... you may have to buy or modify the existing valance for the piece to fit.

Re: 2014 front bumper chrome trim

I installed both the chrome door moldings and the lower bumper trim tonight. Let me start by saying, you are crazy if you have the black Laredo bumper and don't buy this for $18. I am still convinced it's actually supposed to be $180, so buy it quickly.

The initial removal is about two dozen clips total... about 10 plastic push pin clips, 5 plastic quarter turn clips, and 6 metal triangular spring clips. All can be accessed from under the bumper laying on your back, except the metal clips where it's easiest to pop the tow hook area covers off and reach your hands through that hole. The bottom of the panel hooks into the bumper in eight places and the top clips into the bumper. Once the clips are off start pulling the top clipped edge working from one end to the other. Then you can put it on the bench and pull the large inner black honeycomb panel out of the black plastic surround panel by removing 4 more metal triangular clips and 4 metal U clips. Swap the honeycomb over to the chrome surround panel making sure you carefully work all the 15 or so tabs into the slots.

Reverse the previous steps to reinstall putting the tow hook area covers on last. The whole job working carefully is about an hour job.

Re: 2014 front bumper chrome trim

Should pick mine up in two days from the dealer parts center. It took me 5 minutes to convince the parts guy that it is not aftermarket. Then he continued to be a PITA. But I digress. I Will post install thread in diy/how to section this weekend. I will probably get some flame from the limited and overland guys lol. Btw, only $19... it would cost more to get it for free and get it shipped to me. (Sorry justforjeeps)

Hi, that price will be because they use bog std postage, and in it full size box ( which will be huge)

Recommend setting up account with ustooz.com, they will take box, package it smaller then choose the cheapest way of getting it, charge you maybe $20 for the service, but while your at it, think of some other stuff you want from the us and they'll put it together for you.

Do you HAVE to remove the front bumper to install?

You have to remove the front lower valence, but not the entire bumper.

Re: 2014 front bumper chrome trim

G'day all,
Finished the blingerisation of the Laredo CRD now.

Summit chrome mesh grille insert, black out grille ala SRT, and lower chrome grille surround.

Add that to the sunroof, leather, Q/L and I have a cheap LTD.

Must say it really sets it off.

Thanks to Doc for the fitting info.

Bluey, ........Melbourne..Orstraylya
