2014 front bumper chrome trim

Mopar part 68141939AC, only like $18, anyone actually install one yet? Justforjeeps says the whole bumper cover needs to come off to install this. Not sure how agravating that is on this vehicle and whether you're just dealing with mechanical fasteners or little plastic clips that are bound to break.

I don't know if they mean the whole bumper cover or just the black valance. the black valance that houses the chrome trim is removable for off-roading. It will be held on by maybe 5 or 6 quarter turn fasteners, and then with some force, the black valance should pop off. I do know this is for the 14 I just don't see them changing this.

Granite Crystal Metallic. May not have the Jeep, but I'll still drop in and keep up with the news.

Bump for this. I'll be picking one up as well for my laredo. Here's a link to the tow hook diy, and there's pics with the '14 valence off. Can't really tell what's holding the chrome piece on, but I'm sure it's nothing too challenging for us enthusiasts.

Bump +1

My chrome insert arrives Thursday, and I'd like to know if I can do this myself, or not.

Re: 2014 front bumper chrome trim

I would have given it to you for free. I hate the chrome.
Nevertheless, I am interested in the installation (removal) instructions.

Re: 2014 front bumper chrome trim

Honestly, if I had a lighter color, I would keep mine black. Off-road bound our not, I'd prefer my granite crystal metallic have some bright accents in the front. Looks more aggressive imho. But those chrome door handles and side mirrors... Yuck!

Re: 2014 front bumper chrome trim

I just received the chrome lower bumper trim today from justforjeeps. Will post info after I install.

What makes no sense is how a piece this big and nice quality can only be $18, especially when compared to the $264 I paid for the four little '11-'13 door chrome mouldings.
