Re: 2014 GC lights in 2011?

Does anyone have the pinout information for the hid headlights because I can't get them to do anything right now and I built the harness to spec. Wondering what the deal is. Pretty frustrating. My new headlights are 2016 build date just wondering if maybe they changed something or am I missing something obvious like a canbus adapter that is keeping things from working?

Re: 2014 GC lights in 2011?

Here is the confirmed working pin out that has been working for years please don't post any more schematics as this thread is getting too long with people going over 20 ways to do the same thing.

Pbalias put this together and pioneered this mod years ago.

No sense in posting uncorfirmed schematics or posts filled with speculation.

The mopar wiring repair site has the pin outs so no need for guessing what wire does what.

No chance there's International variation to discuss? MY16 light fixture changes?

Feel free to post your findings German Overland. It's an open discussion.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: 2014 GC lights in 2011?

Some how the attachment did not get on my previous post

Check out the conversion pin out pdf created be PBalias.

Here is the link:
Mopar Connection Repair Kit

I am all about sharing information but there is only ONE right combination to do the conversion so no need for 20 copies of the same combination. Plus most of the persons attempting the swap now didn't know that there was a pin chart available if they asked eventhough we me mentioned it before in the thread.

I also answer questions in Private Messages.

The pinouts to the connectors are the same for US and Export the differences are the TIPM circuitry

2011 - 2013 bixenon Export headlights only differ by the placement of park light wire so you get white running light at night.(in the DRL position the 7 watt portion of the 3157 bulb is used as running light) This configuration is found on US 2012-2013 SRT8

And the lack of side marker lights.

Side repeater in the fenders instead of the mirrors.

Rear export lighting is no different from DOT lighting except for the rear amber turnsignals.

Re: 2014 GC lights in 2011?

If anyone is wondering about pin outs on anything that link is the place. It tells everything. It took me a while just to find the specific connector I was looking for but now it's like someone turned the lights on. Every wire its gauge, circuit, color, pin position even a drawing of each connector and it's pin locations. I'm so excited to redo my lights now that all my questions are answered. I think i can get my auto level to work we will see. As well as some other functions I just skipped for simplicity Before because I was happy I got things to work at all.

Re: 2014 GC lights in 2011?

Why go through all the trouble of purchasing 2014-2016 assemblies (which aren't cheap to begin with), fabricating a panel to fill the horrendous gap, and wiring when an aftermarket option is available that looks like it belongs on your 2011-2013? I don't mean to troll you, but it just seems odd to pay more out of pocket to end up with a less than OEM look. I understand it if you're replacing the entire front end or plan to.

Re: 2014 GC lights in 2011?

It would be my guess that the OEM headlights are going to be a lot better quality than the eBay ones. Not saying the eBay ones are "bad" just saying the oem headlights are well made.
