Where the grille and corner of the light meet, there is about a 3/4in gap. However the headlamp looks good all around. I didn't expect a perfect fit, but I also did not expect it to be this much off.

I took plenty of pics. Sorry to report the bad news!!
Thanks for the hard working putting that on. It sucks how big that gap is but at least we got to see what it looks like. Fed looks sick, hopefully someone will come up with something.. I would definetly be interested.

I would still rock them....

I got an all black grill and it would be less noticeable.....no eye would catch the gap especially with the daytime DRL LEDs on

Re: 2014 GC lights in 2011?

Have we found a source for someone who will actually come through with the conversion harness for the 2014 lights? I have a 2012 overland. I would like to buy a set of lights on ebay, but I'm not ready to until a harness is designed

Don't get discouraged folks. Everyone told me in 2008 you couldn't upgrade an 05-07 to the new 08 hid headlamps. With a little work and ingenuity. ...i made it happen. I even made a bumper filler to cover the space. Now it's a common mod on wk's.

Give me until April for the 14 halogen to 14 bixenon harness.
I have began to source what I can find. I would have to fine a tester for the first harnesswhen it built.

A 2011-13 halogen to 14 bixenon harness I a little to come by.

If some with some fiber glass skills could make that filler panel that would solve the fitment

Since the 14 lights needs a harness to control the DRLs that brings the price for both the headlight adapter harness and the DRL to $320. Most of this cost is the connectors on the DRL harness to make the control components replaceable.

I am working on finding some lower cost connectors but not having much luck.

When you are standing back from my Maximum Steel, like in the first picture in the second post, the gap isn't noticeable unless you are looking for it. A filler piece can be made.

I know of two people who are working on the harness. One is projectretrofits, but I haven't heard from him a long time. The other guy,I won't say the members name until he's ready. The wiring harnesses are on there way!

Yes I hope I didn't come across that I would be discouraging anyone. If anything give someone the kick in the ass with more know how to make a filler piece.

I need to point out that the bottom of the headlamp also juts out just a little bit. In turn this would make a filler piece much more fashionable as it could have more support behind the gap.

I'm showing these 4 pictures again because they really the show the gap and "jut" I am talking about.

Also I just realized one of the pictures was in black and white . So I uploaded it again in color. The last picture really shows that the gap is not that bad. It may be more noticeable on light color Jeeps, but this picture gives the best overall impression.

I'm just picking on ya

Honestly, if you guys really want the new lights fabricating some sort of fiberglass filler painted to match for that gap would certainly not be impossible...or you could always just upgrade the whole front clip.

$320 is not bad for the harness. Would that be for each light?

I know you are man! Just giving you shit back! I think the reason the filler would be the best is because of a lot of us with 12's like the 11-13 fascia vs the 14. Although I have to say a 14 SRT churns my butter. So does the Indigo interior!

Yeah I prefer the 11-13 front clip myself...
