You say you made a bumper filler. What material did you use, do you have any photos, was it in-house or did you send it out?

I was gonna drop in a few local shops, to include BWoody, and any suggestions on a path forward that I can take with me would greatly help.

Again, sorry if there is a post with this info and I simply missed it -- just point me towards it.

Thanks,

I found a trashed 08 bumper....cut the humps off and then used filler to make the bumper filler. I just cut an molded them to fit the opening. You could use any plastic bumper like material.

Re: 2014 GC lights in 2011?

Wanted to show off my 2013 SRT8

Had my jeep dealer install a set on mine. They trouble shot the wiring and more or less got everything working as if it were factory on the 12's/13's.

Only issues currently are:
*rapid blink on turn signals (but not hazards)(anyone know what resistor I would need?)
*the auto leveling system on one side is slower than the other not a big deal but makes it look like it has a lazy eye
*needs to be leveled
*No DRL unless the lights are on (might address at a later date) bumper DRL function as normal
*can't figure out a solution to the gap without upgrading to the '14 front end... toyed with the idea of finding someone who could 3D print a part but not sure its worth while unless they are local so can deal with lots of trial and error fit tests

Awesome! Don't you love these lights?

Surprised a jeep dealer would touch it, hope they didn't hack up the wiring.
You sure the auto leveling feature is there?
But seriously, why don't you just get jeep_addicted's harness? The turn signal rapid blinking would drive me crazy. My lights function exact same a 2014/15.

My dealer seems to be fairly mod friendly, but true test will be later on down the road if I incur any issues. They had to hack the harness to install the '14 plug. Since I have an SRT, there isn't an adaptor/harness that goes HID to HID (that I am aware of). Yes, I'm sure the auto-leveling is present and functioning.

Major props to Jeep_Addicted and pbalias for helping me with all that they assisted me with!!!

Re: 2014 GC lights in 2011?

Did anyone try swapping the grill face to the 14's when installing the new LED headlights? I know it just snaps off if your carful. I imagine that should close the remaining 3/4" gap Scott described.

The shape is completely different from the '13 to the '14. See here:

2014:

You can see that not only is the headlight slightly narrower all the way on the fender side as compared to the seam between the fender and bumper (which is unchanged), the 2014 light does not get as wide as you move along towards the grill as the 2014 light. Like I said, they will go in the housing, but the grill and bumper from the 2011 won't fit back on without a gap.

If you really want to do it the whole clip will bolt on, but you need the whole clip.
Also, the bumper/grill appears to clip to the bottom tabs on the lights
