Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Chrome Grille available?

I tried to do it myself this morning and it really seems to tight of a space to get it done. Even after bending everything back a little. Wonder how much the dealership would charge? Or, anyone in the Atlanta area that has completed the job want to make some extra $?

Has anyone paid a dealer to install this? What was the cost? I ordered from justforjeeps.com 3 weeks ago..... Still back ordered.

Well I got the grill insert and tried to install it from the top and must say if you we're able to install it this way, you have got to have the smallest hands and arms. Impossible if you have large forearms and big hands.

Guess I will wait until I muster enough time and patience to remove the bumper.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Chrome Grille available?

I'm planning on at least getting a price for install from my dealer when i go back to get a part replaced on warranty in the next week or two. I can't imagine it would be more than an hour of labor for the dealer techs right? I know my dealer charges somewhere in the $70-$90/hr range as they charged me an hour of labor to install my step rails.

So, with that said...$30 for the part, let's say $90 for the install...$120...I think that's worth it. Plus, then if they break something, it's on their head to replace.

That's about what I'm guessing as well. So a combo appointment of new grill and software update to 13,19.0 would be a good trip to the dealer. Thanks!

Took my dealer 40 - 45 minutes. Tech removed front bumper to install. Love the new look!

Good to know you have dealers that will charge a cheap 90 per hour, try 160 per hour and a dealer telling you it will take at least 2 hours.

Really starting to regret buying a jeep.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Chrome Grille available?

Is there anyone that knows where to locate a DYI guide for removing the 14 front bumper. I found a 2011-13 guide on Just for Jeeps. Couldn't locate a '14

Yea I will be taking mine to the dealer for the install. Just tried this myself and after 15 mins of getting 0 clips off I raised the white flag. Whoever was able to do this without removing the grille I tip my hat to you!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Chrome Grille available?

Installed my chrome grilles yesterday. Looks AWESOME! Got small cuts around my hand and forearm but result was totally worth it. It was pain to remove the clips but once I got the middle piece removed, it went smoothly. Once you remove the middle piece, I was able to use the three holes to reach the clips for left and right grille pieces. It took me around 40 minutes beginning to end. Thank you for all the instructions on how-to. (tools used: very short screw driver- around 3 inches and a long screw driver around 10 inches to reach the clips near the bottom)
For me the key was pushing the grille in with my left hand (quite hard) while pushing on the clip using my screwdriver from the top or with my hand inside.
