Thanks for posting this pic. It was exactly what I needed to spend $35

I'm thinking of just having my local mechanic do the dirty work. Should take him around 1 hour I'm guessing. As much as I'd love to start off doing my own thing, ripping a bumper off of a $$$ brand new car might be pushing my limits

Also, I noticed your Jeep looks low. Is it in Entry/Exit mode (low)?

I have replaced my grille and one other. Do it yourself by cutting a few of the clips on the old grille with a cutting blade and throw it away. Once you have the new grille you will never want the old one. Work down from in front of the radiator inserting the two panel grilles at either side first. You can put your hands/arms through the centre holes to assist with clipping then insert the centre three panel from the top. Saved me $160AU which was the price quoted by the service team.

Frankston Jeep did mine for nix. Small Compensation for the 10 month wait and the stuffing around I suppose.
I had the lower chrome insert ala Ltd and Overland installed by Mentone jeep for $80

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Chrome Grille available?

Now all I need fitted is a 4th set of rear shockers. I have been through three sets already and not done 4000 kms. My Grand Cherokee Limited has been fitted with plastic buckets in the back and the golf balls are bouncing around terribly!!!! Service have refused to put in another set until Jeep have a solution. Jeep don't have a solution unfortunately.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Chrome Grille available?

Made a valiant attempt at adding in the black honeycomb grill inserts, doing the top down method yesterday and failed.

I couldn't for the life of me budge most of the clips in any direction with a trim tool or flathead. I only ended up bumping my radiator a few times instead and leaving some marks :/

I also tried just pushing the hell out of it and was able to get part of the middle section disconnected, but everything else felt like I was using too much force and may break the pieces that are within the back of Jeep's grill. They were bending too far for my likings and I also scuffed up all my plasti dip work on the chrome rings. All in all, pretty sad about it. So I gave up and will be looking for an estimate from the dealership or elsewhere.

Just thought I'd share my experience. So much for trying to go all DIY.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Chrome Grille available?

can do it man, just cut them out and go thru the holes. It makes it so much easier. Did mine last week. Propped flash light on the top to hold up the panel for light but most of the work was done thru holes. Used a flat head screw driver to unlatch it. Not the best pics but here are the chrome inserts.

I really didn't have that much trouble getting my arm in through the top down method. For the life of me, I could just not get the clips to disengage. I don't think cutting the old grill and going through the front would help me very much, but props for getting it done yourself.

I'm getting a quote from the stealership tomorrow on how much the install will cost. If it's over $100 I'm going to try again myself before giving in.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Chrome Grille available?

Look at your new grill to see which way to push the clips to get them to release. Push in from the outside while pushing in the clip with the screwdriver. It took me struggling with 2-3 of them before I got the hang of it then it was easier. Good Luck if the dealer is asking too much. I thought about stopping also at first but I promise you, if you get one or two to release, you will have no problem from there. Except on pass side, I had to get a real short screw driver to get to those clips on the edge.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Chrome Grille available?

Apparently the dealership in this town can't get their heads far enough out of their asses to at least call me back with a quote or find a technician that will install it before bolting out the door for the weekend. They had it for 9 hours and they expect me to come back because they had a busy day, even though I had an appointment and there was plenty of time for all the work that needed to be done.

JFC!

Not even about to get into the full rant, but I'm telling them to stuff it when I go pick it up today and doing the install myself...again.

Thanks for the tips, heelz. I'll have another go this weekend.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee Chrome Grille available?

sorry bout the Stealership...good luck man. U can do it. Just get one or two to release and you will get the hang of it. Flathead, push it in, wiggle it while pushing in on the old grill and it will come out....

Just got my chrome summit inserts from my dealer. Got them for 21 bucks plus tax.
If you're in Chicago give Hawk CDJ. a call. Plus they are a forum sponsor.

I will try to install them myself. Will moat likely do the top down/cut old insert way.

Thank you all for the information.

My wife hates you all for it though lol
