Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

I want to confirm before installing my XD kit on my '14 JGC.

It appears you don't need to use the relay, according to #2 on 1st post. You can just use the canceller between the oem input abd ballast.

These ballasts are rated at 4.5amps at start up. So 12.6v x 4.5amps = 56.7watts

Barely more than the stock halogen 55w bulb. That doesn't even account for the similar startup boost.

Actually point #2 states that you will need to install a relay harness and a canbus fix for the HID kit to function properly in your low beams.

Not too happy about the kit I got Steve, hate to say It. Now I have another relay stuck on. Talked to your guys at customer service any they're shipping me another relay. Hopefully this is the last time I'm gonna have to rip the front end off. Customer service is great, just can't seem how I justified spending close to 300$ on 2 kits that have both had relays go bad..
