No problems here... I'm a repeat customer! 4 kits total and as recent as this month. My pics are floating around here somewhere from prior installs. And great customer service too when calling about inquiries.

So is there a direct impact on the HID system if the lights (while in DRL) are turned off and on when the blinkers are used??

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

In theory, it's not ideal for the lights to be turned on/off repeatedly i.e.: flashing someone. I don't think that this will really impact the bulb/ballast in the kit. Furthermore, the Xtreme kits come with a 3 year warranty which does cover the bulb * ballast.

Actually no issues at all for me. I have the ballasts installed against the fenders in front of the axle so I dont hear any buzz inside the car. My DRL have been switched off from day one. I also had a dealer flash for the recall and that did not reactivate my DRL. I did lose radio stations though. Also cant get the oil reminder to go away. Otherwise HID's are all good.

Have you gone through the process to reset the oil reminder? (Check the owners manual to be sure; but I believe you turn ignition to "On" without starting; then press accelerator pedal 3 times fully within 10 seconds; then turn ignition off.) My reminder was on after I got my recall work done, even though it wasn't time for an oil change yet. I reset the reminder, and instead of showing 100% oil life left it reset it to what it was before the recall work was done.

As for the HIDs, only problem I've had with my Xtreme kit was the shadowing - pulled both bulbs out, trimmed the tabs on each and re-inserted so the grounding wire faced down and that solved it! Very bright at night with good cutoff; never get flashed by oncoming traffic.

Thanks I did the reset and it came back. I will try again. I only have minimal shadowing so didnt bother to take apart.

Thanks Steve for your reply on the subject and for the re-assurance on the warranty.

Quick question, how close of a match is your 6000k led fog lights to your 6500k hid bulbs?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

Got my 4300K Philips kit installed today and couldn't be happier with it. Exactly the color I was looking for and looking forward to the hint of more blue after running them for awhile.

Thanks to Xenondepot, and for their prompt responses to my questions. The shop that installed my kit even asked where I got it from. He was impressed at the quality saying "that is one very good kit. 100 times better than the stuff I usually see people coming in here with"
