Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

How did you switch the polarity? Did you simply reverse the connector or did you physically take the pins out of the housing and reverse their locations?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

I'm planning on installing Hid in my 14 WK2 projectors. I found these Philips ballasts with Philips 6000k bulbs. Anyone have any experience with them? Looking for some input. They look pretty similar to HID Xtreme ballasts sold by xenondepot.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

The kit you are looking uses Asian made bulbs - not the same Philips bulbs that we use in our Xtreme HID kit w/ Philips bulbs upgrade.

Spend half day to prepare mounting staffs and a leisure half day to install the Xtreme kit. They are beautiful! No polarity reverse needed, no relay buzz or flickering, just worked as expected! Since I have troube to handling the plastic rivet by myself, I did not remove the front bumper, neither the bottom half of the air filter box (becasue I could not take it away).

Just one issue to be improved: noticeable ground shadow in front of driver. I realized that was because of the returning line of HID. But did not know how to tune up. Any advices? Thanks very much.

Unfutunately, I got a poor light profile after test this night like the pic. Double checked HID bulb mounting, and found no improvements. Does anyone have such kind of issue and get resolved?

Problem solved. No defect in HID kits, just make sure the lamp was secured in their right place. I think only 2 legs out of 3 of the lamp came into position last time. However, there is still a noticeable ground shadow on passenger side. But no more anoying light projected to incoming traffic now.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

Has anyone run into the issue of one headlight staying on much longer than the other? I installed my kit back and in April and hadn't had any issues until recently. Now when I turn off the car, my driver's side headlight just stays on. It's stayed on for nearly an hour after turning the car off before. Any ideas what's causing this?
