Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

I'm having a problem with my xenon depot HID kit. It worked fine for about a month but recently its been giving me a problems. When I turn on the headlights, passenger light turns on with like 5 seconds delay. Same thing happens when I turn off the lights, passenger light has a slight delay (about 1 second) Is anyone familiar with this issue? How can I resolve it?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

Hi,

I have seen the 1 second delay when the lights shut off, but there shouldn't be a 5 second delay when you first turn the lights on. Does this issue happen if you turn the lights on with the vehicle off?

When I started the car today it was like 10 seconds delay. It does happen with engine running or not. It seems that the delay is longer when I start the car for the first time after that its only like couple seconds delay. I'm wondering what could be the issue because when I installed it ,everything was running perfectly fine for about 1 month.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

What do I need to do exactly to get an hid kit to work in my 2014 grand cherokee Laredo? I bought a h11 kit and it is currently installed wih one relay harness and one capacitator. It was working fine until my right light shut off. Now that light rarely turns on, but once in a while it will turn on and work fine. Please let me know what I need to do to get my kit to work. I have had so many problems. Thank you

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

Ralphi20 - The Xtreme kit comes with 2 relay harnesses - 1 per side. You will need to utilize both relay harnesses and capacitors.

Hey Steve,

I hate to hijack this thread but I have sent a PM to XenonDepot on Wednesday with no response. I sent the order # in the PM. I called and spoke to John before sending the PM and he was of no help telling me to check connections which I had already and also to swap components from a working side to the non working side to troublehsoot. I think you own a Grand Cherokee so you know how difficult it is to get access to this area. If I remove the lower front fascia or bumper cover, I want spare parts in hand so I can be one and done. I just had the bumper cover off installing Phillips Xtreme-Vision D3S that I bought from XenonDepot. I don't agree with having me dissassemble a working side to determine issue. It was intermittent now it it won't work at all.

I would appreciate all your help!

Thanks,
Scott

Can you please send me a Pm with your phone number? I will give you a call to discuss.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

Does anyone know if the halogen headlamps have an adjusting screw. I installed Morimoto and they are really bright!!!! (35Wtts 5500k). Sorry if this was posted before I couldn't find an answer using the search function.
