Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

Has anyone successfully installed their kits without using the relay harness?

I'm looking to install the kits with just the canbus adapters. Would I run into any issues with the daytime running lights?

Hi,

I *believe* that you will have to use the relay harness to avoid any flickering if your vehicle has DRL activated. I believe that some forum members were able to avoid using the harness (but still the capacitors) by de-activating the DRL.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

I really wish there was a viable option for a wiring harness to connect the DRL LED HID lights in the halogen sockets! I have the SRT lights and I would like to connect them to my factory hookups! Ive tried with no luck to get someone to help!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

I disabled the DRL's and did not use relays on both fogs and low beams. I did still have to use the capacitors. No flickering, no problems.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

Does the Xenon Depot kit bulbs have the return wire at the top of the bulb or the bottom when the bulb is in the housing?

When you say capacitor, are you referring to the canbus modules? I received my kit but didn't study it to notice if there were capacitors. I saw the harness, ballasts, canbus modules, and bulbs. I want to try and run without the harness.

Here is a link to the canbus module so that you know what they look like:

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

I noticed today that I have one bulb that is now more dim than the other. I just noticed this today. HID kit purchased by XenonDepot last Sept. I'm going on a 1500 mile trip to Colorado next week and I'm worried about the bulb completely failing. Is this probably the bulb failing or is there a chance that the ballast could be bad? What kind of warranty is offered with these kits?

H11 6500k with CanBus

Thank you.
