Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

Steve, the bulb failed to light today. I sent you a PM with my order number. Please let me know what I need to do to get this fixed / bulb replaced. I'm leaving for Colorado later this week, and I need to have headlights that work.

Thanks!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

Hey,

Send me a PM with your shipping address, and I will get you a replacement.

**It appears that you have your grommet on reversed (red grommet), and the white spacers need to be removed prior to installation -- they are just there to secure the bulb during shipping.

Steve, with XenonDepot helped me out tremendously and got me a replacement bulb ASAP!

Thanks again!

I still can't believe how big a PITA it is to replace bulbs in this vehicle! I went in from the top and there seems to be okay space on the drivers side after the airbox is removed but the passenger side is ridiculous.

Did you install the kit from the top as well or you had to
Remove the bumper for access?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

I installed the kit from the top, and did not remove the front end. It's tight, but possible. Plenty of room to tuck away the ballast and wires, just getting to the bulbs is a bitch.

My pleasure! I hope you got it in time for your trip.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

I've ordered the 4300k Xtreme kit and can't wait till it arrives, I've read on another post that it will be necessary to drill a hole in the dust cap in the size of 1 1/8" to fit the grommet in. Just want to confirm that's the correct size and what tool to use for best results.

Yes that is correct and you simply reseal the hole with the provided rubber grommet.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

Is there any other way of installing the HID kit without taking the whole bumper assembly off??

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

Some customers have managed to install the kit by removing the inner fender liner, and not the entire bumper.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

You don't have to remove the entire bumper, or the inner fender liner. I just removed the airbox assembly on the left side and moved the ECM off its mount and to the side on the right side. Its a PITA, but its doable.
