Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee HID Kit Installation

Hi,

Does your Grand Cherokee already have the OEM fog light housings? If so, you would just need to get an H10 HID Kit to replace the stock H10 halogen bulbs.

Hi,

No need for the relays on the fogs.

If you haven't ordered the kit yet don't. Their kit doesn't work on some 2015 and up models including my '15 Altitude. Or it might work now and then stop working a few days/weeks down the road.

Both DDM and Diode Dynamics make a canbus anti-flicker that do work with 2015 and up models. DDM is a complete kit, I ordered one for my fogs but have not received it yet (ships from China). The Diode Dynamics is made in the USA. You can use that with any HID H11 Kit. Save yourself the trouble of pulling the bumper off to install XD's kit. The other kits are plug and play and you can install from the top without removing the bumper.

Guess what when a couple of weeks/months down the road the XD kit stops working you are out of luck, and all you will receive from them is "I'm sorry the kit didn't work out for you", as in my case.

My setup is a Morimoto Elite HID Kit bulbs and ballasts (from theretrofitsource.com) with the Diode Dynamics canbus.

Here is the link for the Diode Dynamics canbus that works with our trucks. CANBUS Anti-Flicker Module (pair) - HID Accessories - HID Lighting - All Products

I would give them a call so they help you put a full kit together, I just happened to have the Morimoto kit laying around and put it all together when their antiflicker canbus became available. I can't vouch for the DDM kit as I haven't received it yet, but I know there is another member that ordered it and received it and is waiting to install.

reading here and there I was up in the air of ordering one bc mostly everyone has had problems with there kits. I had an 07 trailblazer with a hid nation kit in it for almost 7 years no problems at all with there kits. I was looking around there website and they offer a relay and canbus fix. there kits are half the price. I can order two kits from hid nation and it still would be cheaper. I'm deff going to look into the site what you are talking about. haven't had a chance yet.
