Buy replacement fogs... and ditch the HIDs (too much heat).
You could go OEM and stick with either the OEM bulb or one of the LED replacements.

Or go with the complete replacement Morimoto or JW Speaker units.

I actually have my original reflector housings sitting in a box collecting dust in my basement. I used the outer mount for the PIAA LEDs I had mounted before I bought my JW Speaker units.

I don't have a before/after set of pics, but...
Shortly after replacing my low beams with the Nighbreakers I was parked next to my co-worker (both vehicles facing out) and we both unlocked our vehicles (both have the low beams light up in dark areas upon unlock) and the difference in the light 'color' was amazing. OEM halogen bulbs are more 'yellow' and the Nightbreakers were more white without the blue tint you see in the cheap 'blue' bulbs.

He drives a Ford F150, but halogen is halogen. His are also about 6 years old, so they probably look a bit more yellow than new bulbs, but still the difference was significant.

The Nightbreakers do have a blue tint, but it's outside the filament area on the glass capsule. The area around the filament is clear.

Re: 2014 Halogen Bulb Upgrade!

If you're not concerned about increasing light output, but want the colour to match OEM HID - then I would go with this PSX24W LED bulb.

Re: 2014 Halogen Bulb Upgrade!

Is anyone having heat output problems after upgrading to either Philips Crystal Vision or Osram Nightbreaker Plus halogen bulbs. Have you noticed any indication of heat damage to sockets or headlight housing. I think I read somewhere that stock bulbs are 3W whereas aftermarkets are in 55w to 60w? I have a 2014 GCL with stock bulbs and my 1999 GCL with still original halogen L/B are brighter.

Re: 2014 Halogen Bulb Upgrade!

The 2014 GC uses an H11 bulb - completely different bulb from the previous years.

Re: 2014 Halogen Bulb Upgrade!

Hi, Faurs - Unfortunately not. You may want to consider trying the LED bulbs though. A lot of customers are pleasantly surprised with the light output compared to the stock bulb.
