Still concerned about heat damage to sockets or housing caused by higher output halogen bulbs. Does anyone have any input on Osram Nightbreaker Plus or Philips Crystal Vision higher output bulbs?

Cant speak for those two you mentioned, but in have the Philips Xtreme and they are much much brighter, no blue coloring and no heat issues so far (knock on wood)

The PIAA fog lights were brighter/whiter than the OEM fog lights. These are aftermarket LED fog lights made to mount under the bumper. I jerry-rigged them to mount inside the OEM out mounting ring and I have an adjustment screw just like OEM fogs (for up/down adjustment).

As I said, they were brighter than OEM, but the JW Speaker units are just so much better. I don't regret taking out the PIAA units and installing the JW Speaker units.

Tom - The heat issue discussed would not apply to you as your vehicle uses an H11 foglight bulb - not PSX24W (low-wattage bulb).

All the H11 fog light bulbs we sell on the website are rated at the same wattage as stock, meaning that you can safely install them in your vehicle without worrying about damage.

Re: 2014 Halogen Bulb Upgrade!

Thanks for replying Steve. I want to upgrade my low beams for sure so I might as well do high beams too. I never really use fogs . I was just worried about heat damage like happened in our Audi GT years ago.

Got it. Check out our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee HID / LED / Bulb Replacement guide for a helpful page showing the bulbs used on the 2014 Grand Cherokee.

Re: 2014 Halogen Bulb Upgrade!

Does anyone have a link or manual on how to replace the headlight/fog bulbs on halogen headlights? Please post! (I couldn't find any)

Re: 2014 Halogen Bulb Upgrade!

Been using Sylvania SilverStars since 2001, have them in everything. Much brighter than stock. Since Osram and Sylvania are the same company I suspect there is some badge engineering going on.

The osrams are the German brand, right? Heard good things about them.

Yes they are German - and made in Germany. Have a set for my low beams and I am VERY happy with them.

Agreed.
Not quite as 'white' as a good OEM HID or OEM LED headlight, but definitely better than OEM halogen.
