Upgraded my headlight bulbs this weekend. The rather anemic output of the stock bulbs has been remedied.

Osram nightbreaker plus H11 bulbs as recommended in a British publication called auto express amongst all high end replacement bulbs. About 50 for the pair.

Google how to replace 2014 jgc headlights for how too for video instructions (the process is same for HID and Halogen). Takes about 20 minutes to replace bulbs due to tight access.

Serious improvement in terns of visibility of the road. This is due to improved contrast from a brighter and whiter bulb. Feels much safer at night.

I upgraded all my halogen bulbs on my 2014 Limited as well to Phillips Crystal Vision Ultras (H11 low beams, 9005 high beams, H11 fog light) and it's a 100% improvement over the yellowish stock Sylvania bulbs.

Paid about $75 for all three sets on Amazon (with free shipping).

Osram ones do not look too boy racer/import. I recommend them. Also, note that with any bulbs, the bluer you go the less total lumen output because the blue is a filter on the bulb.

The low beams are h11, probably don't need to replace others IMHO. High beams are 9005.

Thanks Steve.. So, just to confirm, the h11 will fit the stock headlight?

If yes, then what do you guys have (non hid) that will fit?

I don't see how you don't get charged duties/taxes - you must have gotten lucky. These bulbs are not made in North America -- so assuming whomever cleared your package through customs used the appropriate HS tariff code there is 100% a charge (we import these bulbs in bulk...)

i was planning on upgrading my fog/low and highs with the nightbreaker unlimited but im worried about the life of the bulbs. Ive been reading that they dont last anywhere as long as the stock bulb.

question is how long do they last.

everyone states they are much better than stock so i might go with them

I don't have a before/after set of pics, but...
Shortly after replacing my low beams with the Nighbreakers I was parked next to my co-worker (both vehicles facing out) and we both unlocked our vehicles (both have the low beams light up in dark areas upon unlock) and the difference in the light 'color' was amazing. OEM halogen bulbs are more 'yellow' and the Nightbreakers were more white without the blue tint you see in the cheap 'blue' bulbs.

He drives a Ford F150, but halogen is halogen. His are also about 6 years old, so they probably look a bit more yellow than new bulbs, but still the difference was significant.

The Nightbreakers do have a blue tint, but it's outside the filament area on the glass capsule. The area around the filament is clear.

Gents..

I put in the Philips Xtreme Power (H11) and tbh, it does make a nice, noticeable difference. The range of the light is slightly better, but the the actual projection of light def makes things brighter. The light is much whiter and that equals brighter... Even the wife noticed!
