2014 Headlamp washer retrofit?

A while back I put in a set of SRT8 headlights in my limited without the LuxII package. The headlights are working well, still have a hyperflash issue with the turn signals, but that is still being worked on. Now that we're about half way through the winter, I see where the headlamp washer system would be nice to have. I looked over the parts diagrams and it seems the only different parts from my stock system are the additional pump and hoses. Definitely something I plan on trying this spring. I just have to figure out which hose assembly to order, there are 3 different ones.

Has anyone successfully tried this yet?

I'm interested in doing this as well. For the hoses, could you not just get a couple feet of rubber fuel/vacuum line and T it off to each light?

How do you plan on actuating it?

I suppose you could make up tour own hoses, you do need a separate pup though. The windshield washer pump does not have enough psi to actuate the headlamp washers. I plan to run a momentary toggle switch to power the pump.

I actually like the way your going to do it then the way they come as stock, dont have much control of it, no seperate switch. If lights are on and you press windshield washer the headlight washer goes off also, and then every 5th time or something like that until next ignition cycle. Not a big deal but be nice to have more control over it like you are going to do. Good job

Re: 2014 Headlamp washer retrofit?

I did the same bypass in my BMW...From the factory it would kick on the headlight washers for the first wash anytime you sprayed the windshield after the headlights were turned on, then every 5th time after that. I preferred to have full control, so I took a headlight washer switch out of a Land Rover and hooked that up the to the high pressure pump so I could control exactly when it would go off. Was very nice to have.

Plan on doing the same for the Jeep, just need to find a switch that matches the interior.
