2014 Headlight Adjustment

Received my '14 SRT8 headlights yesterday, one had to go back, broken tab, but should have a replacement in about a week. My question is about adjustment. I only see one possible place that may be the adjustment. I will have the RRO leveling kit on before I'm ready to install the lights (waiting on a harness from Jeep_addicted), so adjustment will definitely be necessary.

Here is a close up of the only screw I can find on the assembly, is this the adjustment screw? As this screw turns (red circle), so does the hex screw in the back (blue circle).

Here are a couple other shots in case I'm just not seeing something else to adjust with.

Re: 2014 Headlight Adjustment

Hopefully someone else can chime in... I do believe that on the summits that have these from the factory there is a way to adjust them from the top, don't remember where I saw it, but insert a screwdriver through an oval shaped opening...- edit: that would make sense- it may line up with what you circled in red.

My jeep does not have that opening... and my driver's side headlight shines a little higher than the passenger, would like to get it corrected...

I will try and head to garage tonight and see if you can reach the red screw from behind the headlight after its installed, doubt it though from what I remember, guess I could drill a hole in the plastic cover if I knew where exactly to drill...

Re: 2014 Headlight Adjustment

I thought I read in one of the threads that DOT headlights only allow you to adjust them UP/DOWN, no left/right or perhaps that was just with the 2014 JGC headlights?

That's what I'm looking for, up and down adjustment.

I believe that what you are pointing to is where you connect levelling motors, I know in one of the countless threads about these lights another member was trying to retrofit levelling motors... I don't remember how easy it is to reach after the lights are in... I will try to get out to the garage tonight and try...
I found this thread on the WK2/SRT8 section. It appears to be the same screw. Guess I'll find out once it's all installed.

How to adjust headlights??

2014 Headlight Adjustment

Why would you need to adjust these headlights yourself , mine were out of whack they were pointing to high up so I took it to the service department and watched them plug in the computer and bam it done its own self adjusting the lights went up down left and right , and they were fine after that it was pretty awesome to watch the headlights do that. But mine is a SRT and I don't no if all 2014 headlights do this so I just thought I post this in case you didn't no about the computer program does it for you..
