Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee "Assassin"

LOL! Over $10K in mods and a logo gets all the comments . . .

Not that I have to explain SH!T, but the SRT motif has been present in my build from the very start -- painting the brake calipers candy apple red and adding heat resistant "SRT" vinyl logos was day one (BTW, s4morris, brake caliper covers are not fake big brakes, you can research if you want). The SRT branding is part of the creative design -- technically, there is only one SRT BLACKOUT EDITION, and that is what I have created.

The concept is not to be a poser, but as a design theme. Those that know their rides will know the difference and hopefully appreciate the difference. If not, so be it -- everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Careful Mega8489 . . . you may not want to put SRT replica wheels on your JGC because it is not an SRT . . .

Seriously, I probably get more complements on my wheels than anything else (well over a dozen comments so far just when filling up). I love the design and look. One of my coworkers who has a 2014 JGC SRT actually prefers this design over the stock 14 SRT 5 spoke OEMs.

Good news and bad news. I purchased my SRT replicas from OEWheelsllc.com but they are now out of stock:

The good news is there are a couple ebay sellers who have similar replicas:

20 inch Matte Black 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Factory OE Wheels 2012 2014 5x5 | eBay

Hunt around and try to get the best deal. A bit of advice, unless you are going to buy the wheels with tires and TPSMs as a package (mounted and balanced) from the internet, go to whatever tire center you use and have them order and ship the wheels to them. You will pay some labor charges when they switch over your TPSMs and mount and balance the tread, but you won't have the liability issues (aka they won't install) that could arise with walking into a tire center with "outside" wheels and tires. Good luck!

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee "Assassin"

I personally think you've done a great job. As for the SRT comments, there are plenty of cars out there 'faking it.' M-Line BMW's and S-Line Audi's come readily to mind. I came from the VW scene and remember when VW came out with a special edition GTI/GLI rocking (real) Lambo colors. There were lots of people rocking Bentley and Lambo (again, real) wheels on their VW's/Audi's too. If it's all in the same family why not borrow the best bits and create something more than the cookie-cutter parking lot fillers currently on the roads?

I was just thinking today how awesome it would look if someone could retrofit Chrysler 200 headlights onto a JGC (impossible without fabricating an entire front end, I know) and rocking some 20" Durango Citadel wheels to boot. Sounds like something fit for SEMA, lol.

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee "Assassin"

I think you should put SRT in your sig line as BIG as you can list it. It seems to make people happy.

People will always hate. They can't appreciate the build (creativity, labor, $) not to mention there isn't another one like it out there.

You have a very nice project going.

Thanks for your reply! I know I really want them cause they look sick but I'm looking to keep my tires which they are 265/50 20 . I spoke with my jeep dealership and they said they will install and swap everything over and alignment all for 150$ !! Hope they are not ripping me off but asking around that's the price pretty much ! Now these are 20 by 10 or 20by 9 in the diameter??
