Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

[QUOTE=WickedXJ;994722]This gets me excited...

Especially because they did it in an 11-13

I am pretty much there.

I am still hunting down a connector for the park light and turnsignal. (I think is have a fix but it will add $30 to the price)

So if you all don't have a problem taking the socket out of the old light then I am ready to go.

I want to offer an OEM quality plug and play harnesses.

So if you take it to a dealer to install they don't turn you away.

Some people did that with the 2011-2013 and they always remarked how nice the quality is.

Even though this is a reversible mod I build them to stay with the car if the owner intends to do so. So I make sure they are serviceable.

You will have to bolt down some ground straps but no messing with the fuse box.

In 2011-2013 GC models to update to new HID with DRL LEDs heads you need to change front bumper and front grill because old ones don't fit with new design

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

Depends on your definition of fit...
Been discussed many times, I'm putting them into my 2011 front end.
2014 GC lights in 2011?

That being said are you switching to a complete 2014 front end???

More pics please...

Exactly, I don't like that gap between 2014 headlights and the front bumper.
I could see very good works with that kind of fiber piece filling the gap ( in the link that you left me), but I prefer to switch to new clip since I could find a very good deal with complete 2014 front end (including new fog lights design with projectors...)

I'm currently working on disassemble chrome parts of grill (upper and lower) and fog lights to send front bumper cover and grill to shop for painting job.

In the picture is missing the lower part of the front bumper cover, because I took it apart for painting purposes. As soon as I got them painted and assembled I'll post more pictures.
Cheers

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

UPDATES!!!!!

Guys I have solved the problem for finding a male connector to mate up with the 3 pin park light/turn signal connector.(See attached)

Hopefully I will have them in two weeks. ( it is a limited amount)

So we will have a proper plug n' play adapter for the 2011-2013 and 2014 to use the 2014 LED DRL headlights. Halogen headlight wiring is the same on the 2011-2013 and 2014 only the low beam connectors are different.

So we need either a good fiberglass guy to make us some filler panels for below the headlights.

How about this idea. Is there anyone on this forum that does 3D printing. I have been looking at a lot of these videos on youtube about this emerging technology and I think this would help us with an issue like a filler panel.

What we would need its a graphic file created and we could used www.shapeways.dot to print the item for us.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

Thanks for the update and all the hard work!

Can't wait to get these lights in, but like you said, would be best as a true plug and play adapter that could be removed it need be.

Keep us updated!

Is there any way your harness would work with a 14 SRT headlight?

The AFS and autoleveling portion of the headlights won't work.

The basic functions should still work just like the overland
