Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

It won't be much longer...

These things take a lot of time to assemble and get right I was adjusting the modules that control the DRL shutting off today. I had to do 10 of them since each harness uses two.

Tonight i will be soldering on the load resistors for the turn signals.

It gets tedious doing repetitive steps to make sure each of them are done the same and correctly.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

I have been following them as well, the owner is posting on the other Jeep site.

That being said I have exchanged emails with jeep_addicted several times, he has always been quick to reply, and his knowledge, expertise and desire to get it right, and of course with his reputation here when it comes to lighting/harnesses, I will continue to wait for his.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

Been lurking on this thread for a bit waiting to see how things transpired.

Looks like halogen equipped folks will be all set soon...but what those of us with factory HID already? Maybe that question has already been answered and I missed it. If I did, please forgive me and let me know what the story is with that conversion. If it's even possible.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

Oh, 2011 Summit, looking to go 2014 HID because...well...you know. New lights look nice! If I can't figure out a nice looking filler for the bumper I'll go so far as to put the 2014 Summit front on if I have to! I'll just tell the wife it's this or I buy a 2014/15 and this is way cheaper than spending $60K!

I concur and I already said I'll wait. I stand by my word even though it's out and possibly cheaper.

Those already equipped with bixenon nothing yet.

But there will be a hurdle to overcome on that platform

The right side headlight uses a 12 pin connector that I can get the matching male for.

But the driverside uses a proprietary plug that theres seems to be no match for. Even when I do the 2011-2013 harnesses I have to buy the female side from the dealership.

So whenever I get around matching up the wiring for this set up then we will have to tap the wires on that side . Or hunt down damaged leftside headlights on Ebay just to get the male plug. To have true plug and play.

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys.

But based on the price he is offering his OPTION 2 harness for the one pictured if you opted for the OPTION 3 harness you would be paying what I will be charging for mine. If I offered a harness that functioned like his option 2 It would be the same price shipped.
