I was lucky to find my brand new clear exports for $1000 on Ebay from American Dismantler. But, I think I got the last pair at that price. I see they want $1400 now. Wow.

I wanted the SRTs also but can't stand the orange side marker. The export lights have fantastic light output. Literally night and day difference over my 2011 factory bixenons. So I'm super happy even though they're not SRT.

You're not opening that headlight assembly to paint the internals unless you start cutting into the housing. No amount of baking or heating will release the glue. It's not butyl, but instead Permaseal which does not respond to heat. To me the headlight is too pretty and at $1000, I'm not risking damaging them just to paint the internals black.

Thanks!
I was interested in the possibility of opening up the srt versions to remove the orange but sounds like a PIA
Any chance there is a export srt head light version out in the wild available for purchase? haha
The clear export ones look great but I would love the blacked out look without the orange.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

I've been trying to get a harness made since it'll save time but no luck. I'll be building my own instead now.

Here is the parts I have so far
4x load resistors (ebay)
1x DRL controller (ebay)
2x 14 OEM hid headlight set (ebay)
2x 33472-1601 ($3.05/each)
16x 33012-2022 terminals ($0.10/each

16 pins on each connector of which 8 are used, I'll post diagrams as soon as I access a scanner.
It should cost no more than $100 using quality parts to build this harness, my cost so far is $30 for connectors and load resistors $10 for a drl controller, electrical tape, loom, and a spool of 18 gauge wire.

Once I get it to work I'll make a DIY for everyone!

No need for the diagrams, the wiring conversion map has already been figured out and is available. Reacho out to jeep_addicted. the work has already been done...just go through this thread and save yourself some time!

Might be just me but I still can't find it lol

It's all good though, I have the full diagrams including the body/electrical for exterior lighting controls so it'll be a breeze

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

I have a '14 Limited with halogen projectors. Looking to switch to the LED/HID headlights from either an Overland or SRT. I see that the headlight assemblies will swap out no problem. Is there anyway to just get the oem wiring harnesses from Mopar instead of these work-arounds here on this thread?

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

On the Mopar website there is one

68145825AD

927.00

http://www.mopar.com/part/68145825AD...2393504&b=jeep

Not sure if it will work or not.
