I don't believe anyone has made them functional yet.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

Let make a few things clear for those who are wondering.

Laredo/limited/Altitudes with halogen headlights they are not equipped with the wiring harnesses that are standard on bi-xenon equipped trucks.

What I do is assemble a WK2 specific retrofit harness.

The retro fit harness does the following.

1. Powers the ballast for low and high beam
2. Controls the high beam shutter.
3. Powers the DRL
4. Controls the switch back feature for the turnsignal
5. Controls and stabilizes the flashing of the turnsignals.

There is no way to enable the following items on a halogen euipped truck because they never had the components to control the following from the factory:

1. Auto leveling
2. AFS
3. Smart beam
4. Headlight washer.

My previous vehicle had headlight washers and I used them like twice maybe. Wanting to add them Its more of an envy thing. The truth is all of those parts add weight and expense. If you really want the washers to work you can add a second pump and run it with a separate switch like they do to cars in other countries that need to have the retrofitted.

I am working on the packaging for the 2015 so be patient.

It won't take a year.

2014's owner please be a little patient as well after I sort out the 2015's I will be able to build more harnesses.

WickedXJ was the first the purchase and install my 2014 harness.

I have had a few beta testers that I worked with to sort out the hyper flash. Hi2nr thanks for your help.

Freejersey was also a great beta tester....

There should be 3 2014's driving around Jersey with with my harness right now. ..

Soon To be one more.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

The harness, when installed, you would almost say it looks like it belongs in the engine bay.

It's about 10 feet long and weighs more than a few pounds.

Back in June I was in Jersey and was able to meet a few jeep garage members face to face.

I also had the honor of helping one member install his harness

Took us less than an hour too!

So what would be your expected date to have a 2015 harness? I'm interested in getting this done by thr end of the year.

Thanks.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

When they are ready I'll announce it here.

It should be sorted out in 3 -4 weeks.

After I am happy with form and function I have to get parts in stock.

I normally do batches of 5.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

Hello, my name is Oscar and i am also fromm New Jersey! Lol

I have a brand nee 2015 JGC. altitude. It has basic halogen headlamps. I would like to upgradeto the luxury Oem Hid headlamps. I read some posts and seen you are still trying to figure out a custom model.

Now. I have a leased Jeep. 1-Will me making this mod with your new headlamp or another installer with the oem hid headlamp void the warranty? 2-And with extreme carefullness, will i be able to make the swap and swap them back to the halogen when i have to return the vehicle? 3-Without the dealer noticing?

Ie- i would love to buy your headlamp and have my auto guy put it on if easy enough? Thank you

Warranties only apply to parts installed on a vehicle while on the assembly line or approved dealer installed accessories with warranties.

The harness is a plug and play harness so there is no permanent modification to your vehicle.

I can't assume what your skill level is, but the install is not that difficult. ... (but I am biased because I designed and built the harnesses).

Well built and installed accessories or modifications don't get negative attention most of the time the technicians are not as obsessed with these vehicles as we are so once you don't have a bunch of dodgy looking wires running all over the engine bay you should be fine.

Maybe someone who installed it themselves like, Freejersey, WickedXJ, LV426 or Hi2nr can offer their account of the installation experience.
