Like I have said before it is not impossible to make a harness the challenge is in making a harness that is plug and play.

A couple months back when the 2014 showed up we had to wait for the wiring diagrams to get posted. After they were posted it looked discouraging because of how different all the connections were.

I have a theory on how to address this but it is all contingent and verifying if I can find a male 4 pin connector that matches the one on the halogen headlight for low beam.

The second area of concern was finding a way to control the DRLs shutting off with the turnsignal. I have found a way to address that as well for the past four months I have been working on combing some components that when working together would do this, I am happy to say that since late July I have come up with What I called "ALMOST OEM DRLs.

[*]Parklights ON = DRL OFF[*]Left signal On = Left DRL OFF[*]RIght signal ON = Right DRL OFF[*]Hazards On = BOTH DRL OFF[*]Engine running and lights off = DRLs on
Thanks jeep addict I have emailed him a couple of times no response. Glad someone was able to get a response!

Keep us posted on the harness if and when available for purchase. Looking forward to picking up one!

Hi jeepaddicted
I'm trying to find a harness to use 2014 grand Cherokee headlights (xenon with DRL) on my 2011 grand Cherokee.

I wrote people on Projetoretrofits without any success. I don't know if you can help me or if anybody here knows where to contact this people.
I could see you got response from them.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot

I am looking to sell/trade the stock limited lights for an Lux II light upgrade for anyone interested.

i dont think anyone their right mind would trade a lux for a stock limited lights. if there is any slight chance that you will be able to install the lux headlights on a model that did not come with one from factory, no one will really want a halogen setup, those already go for about 145$ on ebay. good luck thought.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

Ha may as well put it out there that I was interested, who knows if someone would bite.

But back to the point there has been harnesses that have worked, but seems like no one is mass producing them.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

Also definitely interested in upgrading my 2014's standard non HID's to the DRL + HID's on the higher models. Looking forward to some responses...

Those DRL's look so nice on the road and are immediately recognizable.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

Hasn't been any recent updates to this thread . . . for clarification, I am looking to upgrade the OEM projector halogen headlights on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cheokee (JGC) Laredo with bi-xenon HIDs -- Mopar part numbers 68111001AB and 68111000AB, respecfully.

Because the 2014 JGC did not come stock with HIDs, my sole concern is that if I purchase the HIDs with the LED day time running (DTR) lights would they they plug into the OEM harness currently on my JGC and work? From what I've read on this thread it appears I would need a customized harness put in to accept the HIDs with DRLs. I have my JGC in the shop right now with the front removed to put in an after market grille and now would be the time to put these upgraded headlights with the LED DRLs. However, the shop will NOT splice into the current harness to retrofit the headlights -- they would have to plug into the current harness or a seperate harness would have to be provided for professional install.

First: Can Mopar bi-xenon HID with LED DRLs -- parts: 68111001AB and 68111000AB (they are non-auto leveling) be installed straight into the 2014 JGC Laredo and work?

If not, what would be the best course of action so they could be installed to work. Thanks in advance for the replies!
