That price is pretty reasonable, but wasn't the morimoto harness close to that alone? Ill be interested to see the complete parts list when your ready. If you had it already id love to see what you have to date, even if you want to just send me a PM. Appreciate it!
I paid $65.91 shipped for the Morimoto harness through the retrofit source website. It's the Mopar-spec: H13/9008 Bi-Xenon Harness.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

I'm still looking to do the same thing everyone has been asking about.
It seems so simple I just want the headlights in my 2015 Laredo that are in the Lux 2 package the led strip day time running, non aftermarket if anyone knows anything please let me know I have read through forum after forum with no real answers, I have seen it done before but have not been lead down the correct path on how to even order the headlights up front then worry about harnesses as we go along

ordering the headlights shouldn't even be a problem unless you care about price. go to any dealership and ask for them or the part number and look it up online. last I checked they were about $700 minimum each side online, they've probably gone up.

$700 EACH SIDE!!!!! I would pay $600-$700 for both sides and worry about getting them installed but some people are advertising a special harness they make for like $375 plus the $700 I'd be spending EVEN IF I could get them for that for a pair, this is a nightmare, I just wanted a regular Laredo I didn't need all the bells and whistles I wanted to do a few mods on my own, wondering now who will be the first to come up with the best aftermarket close to exact replica of that headlight, because they will not be close to the brightness of factory and the way they work exactly.

Have you even seen the aftermarket lamps in person? Don't get me wrong, I wanted to do exactly what you have in mind, but eventually I decided to go against my better judgement and go aftermarket. Sometimes compromises need to be made, but in this case it didn't seem to be one.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

I'm in the same boat as Lauter, until a straight forward solution is offered for the OEM version, I'm using the aftermarket. They aren't terrible. I do however disagree that it's not 100% without some compromise. They aren't as bright as the OEM ones and the turn signal color doesn't match up very well. That's about the main things I can mention. For me this is probably a place holder until later when more options are available, but it's not something I'm dying to get rid of. I think the fact that I have the chrome model instead of the blackout one also doesn't help make them stand out.

On a bright sunny day:

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

I have an update. I was able to correspond with Correy (Jeep_Addicted) and he helped me figure out the final piece to the puzzle (so far). It is working right now, but I'm not going to be convinced (after what seemed like 120,397 different combinations I've tried) until I've driven it a few miles. He has asked me to not share his work, so I will abide by his request. He said he is taking referrals. If you try to contact him and don't get satisfaction, PM me.

Is he actively selling a harness? My understanding is he stopped doing that. If he isn't, I don't see why its an issue. I hope your harness works though.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

His email has been posted here before, so I don't see any reason not to now: 'tappazuki@gmail.com'

He said he's been getting caught up on orders, but is still building/selling them. If you are interested in building your own harness rather than purchasing one (I would have paid for one myself, but didn't know how to get in touch with him), or can't wait for him to get one to you, you can PM me.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

Picked these up last night super cheap. Looks like I got a lot of pages to read to see if I can make them work on my 2014 limited. Passenger side is kinda damaged but I was told all the lights still work.

Daaaayuuummm. Was $163 until the last 30 seconds. I tried to bidding $180 in the last 25 seconds. Was Not willing to pay that much lol. It's not to hard to determine how this wiring goes, if you understand what you are looking at.
