Ya, not only that, but it was made by projector retrofit and ghere were some issues with his harnesses. It also didn't include any relays for switchback functionality for the turn signals. Hyperflashing and flickering were a 50/50 chance with these as well. I would have only considered it for $100, and I wouldve used it for parts.

Some forum members are figuring this out and making it work like OEM, hold out just a little longer! Rt66er has just completed his and ill be attempting mine soon, and Jeep addicted is apparently taking orders again.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

Hey guys- somewhat related to this topic, and was a necessity when I put the lights in my 2011.

Do all US 11-13 WK's have the ability to turn off the drl's in the evic? Mine is Canadian and had to have the ecu reflashed...

Thanks, trying to help another guy put them in his 11

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

Hello everyone, I'm new here but I'm also trying to do a halogen to HID conversion on my 2014 Jeep grand Cherokee Altitude. I was the winning bidder for the harness on eBay shown above at $163.50 until the very end, my max bid was $250 and still bummed that I missed out, would have probably set my max at $375 had I known it would go that high. I only got the HID headlights for $100 each so I was willing to pay more for the harness since my budget was $1000.

Without the harness, I've contacted some car audio shops in my area and they may be able to build the harness from scratch, but couldn't guarantee aftercare if anything happened after the install. For this reason, I will wait until a more plug and play solution is around or I upgrade the car altogether. I should mention that the installers stated that the job would be easier if you provide the original wire harness for the HID headlight, this way they have a starting point and it saves hours in labor due to soldering.

Good luck and let me know if anything new becomes of this, after 3 months of research and trying to figure this out, I am returning the headlights for now and will revisit the project later if it's worth it.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

I have a 2015 Jeep GC Limited that came with the Halogen Projector Headlamps and I just upgraded to the HID's with a 100% plug and play harness made by Jeep_addicted and it is working 100% OEM.

I'll have video posted up as part 1 (before ) and part 2 ( after ) install and showing all OEM functions.

I can't be happier with the results as I have 100% OEM functions with no issues whatsoever.

Video to come in next few days.

This is great news Gerard, I've been in need of a harness for a long time, I'm glad everything worked out for you and I can't wait to see the pictures.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

What I have here is a pair of OEM 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee hid headlights found in the higher end Jeep Grand Cherokee models from 2014 and up. The headlights are non AFS and come with both hid bulbs and all ballasts. Included are also a Morimoto H11 relay harness that goes with the Jeeps equipped with Halogen headlights. I was going to do a conversion since my jeep is a 2014 Grand Cherokee limited with Halogen headlights, but never got to it. With this are also a pair of xchange drivers from morimoto that will allow the conversion process to go smoothly. It allows for the DRL to be switched off while turning. This would be good for someone to upgrade headlights and can be easily wired by any auto electrician familiar with wiring and hid headlights. Last, these also come with a pair of molex connectors needed to retrofit the headlights from halogens to hid. This is also good for someone looking to purchase a pair of working headlight for their Jeep Grand Cherokee already equipped with HID headlights. Nonetheless you'll be saving a ton of $$$ since each set goes for close to $1000 at any Jeep dealership. If you have any questions, please contact me by email, text or phone. The headlights are available for pick up or willing to meet halfway depending how far it is. Thanks. If you're in the Tri State area, I can meet up with you. I am located in Yonkers, NY. I can ship, but it will be additional. The price for everything is $595. Email me or text me at ylondono84@gmail.com or 347-967-0009. My Name is Yariel. Thanks.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

I paid Jeep_Addicted to make me a harness. As of now, the DRLs and left turn signal do NOT work. Not happy, especially since he stopped answering my emails.

Yeah he took some time to get back to me with emails for a while. My only problem at first was one turn signal wasn't working and it was because of a bad wire, luckily the guy working on it figured it out that day and replaced the wire.

Re: 2014 Jeep OEM Projected headlight to OEM HID headlight

2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee " Limited " Trim Halogen Projector Headlamps to HID Upgrade using Jeep_addicted plug and play harness.

100% OEM functions all working.

For those of you that were waiting for a while, I also waited and the reason for the long wait was that Jeep_addicted was waiting on my install to be successful before he made anymore harnesses especially for the 2015 which has a slightly more sensitive computer. I had 3 generations mailed out to me back and forth before we got this 100% right. Now he has it nailed down.

Well, here it is.
